An outrageous federal court decision could hand over control of the Internet to companies like Comcast, AT&T and Verizon. The FCC can act to reassert its authority and stand with the nearly 2 million Americans who have demanded Net Neutrality -- the one thing stopping these companies from interfering with your experience online.

As the FCC weighs an important Net Neutrality rule and its very ability to protect Internet users, it must hear from you. Sign this letter now and tell the FCC to stand up for the public and protect the open Internet once and for all.

Jenn? I love you much, but I am in dire need of education on this topic.

It's been my understanding that the internet has been censored on sensitive topics for at least eight years now. (sssh...listen! Somewhere there is laughter in Interpol!)

(For example, if you are in China, and you google "Dalai Lama"? You won't get much. I have seen links disappear m'self, but we'll just call that Karenoia.

So if you would, if you could, explain it to me, I'd be more than happy to fill out the form--although I fear I have not much faith in the ultimate outcome.

I looked at it, and figured it would end up in a google search numbered somewhere in the...googles?

Explain it to me?

As with most issues, opposing views exist, each with their own weaknesses and merits.

When government attempts to control any arena, one must be aware of the law of unintended consequences.

One has to wonder whom will have the more impact on the FCC?  Perhaps politicians?  Perhaps the humongous amounts of cash in dot.coms? Some schmuck out in the middle of Kansas?  I would suspect the first two have the upper hand.

Serenity, there are any number of resources to obtain the positives and negatives on both sides.  Just google "pros and cons of net neutrality".

Tim, I can't believe that there are ANY schmucks in Kansas!

I thought this was a good article on the issue of net-neutrality:
