I know this member hasn't been around much, but I also know that some of you had indeed befriended him.

So it's on his behalf, that I ask you all to help him with your prayers. He loved being here, so I should say his silence wasn't by choice. Both of his parents have alzheimer's, so our adagio has had his hands full.

I'm sorry to report that his beloved Leah is in a coma now as well. So please, pray up that miracle for his wife, as well as him.

He's an only child, and Leah has been his only emotional support for a very long time. Besides, Leah is a lovely person, and this planet is a lot kinder with her on it.

Thank you.

Oh, K... my heart breaks at this news.

Please tell Ralph that he's in my prayers... as are his beloved Leah and his parents.

Adagio, thank you for gifting us with
not only your talents, but with your beliefs...

and thank you, serenity, for bringing to us
his heartaches at this moment.

My prayers and thoughts are with him, his family, and all that ecompasses the moment.

On Ralph/adagio's behalf, I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers.

Leah passed away at approximately four p.m. this afternoon.

Prayers for Ralph would be much appreciated at this time. He's well, he's in shock.

Oh, Ralph... I'm so very, very sorry. My heart breaks for you. I know there aren't any words that can make this easier... but please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. If there's ANY way your poet friends can help, please let K know... I'm not that far away.

When I spoke to Ralph last night, he wanted me to express his gratitude yet again. He did mention that he'd like to be back soon, as he has been writing poems "in his head".

He did say that he doesn't know if he can write or even talk about Leah just yet--they were best friends and lovers, to the end. So if he pops up and posts one of those totally quirky Ralph poems, I'm sure ya'll will understand. *smiling and shaking my head*

Thanks, all of you, for being a good friend to my friend, (now our) friend--Ralph is in a very rough patch of life right now, but please trust that I have already assured him that he does have friends here. And of course, you know I'll be doing my best to help him out--although I think we all know what a lonely place grief is.

AND, he also wanted to express his sadness about our loss of Marge. He said Marge had been particularly kind to him.

I kinda knew that. Much love to you all.
You are all such kind people. Thank you.

*heart hugs*

OMG, I am so saddened by this! I also enjoyed his poetry and his interaction with me was a special treat. He is a wonderful person!
I knew about his parents, but didn't know about Leah's situation. He must be devastated.

Dear Ralph, may Leah's spirit rest in a peaceful place.
I also wish you great strength in dealing with your parents.
You have a very rough road to travel.
I've also been handed a rocky road lately, having stage 4 cancer that just snuck up on me last October.
Meditation, reading and gardening kept me somewhat sane after surgery and the ongoing chemotherapy.
Staying connected to Pips has been the Rock of Gibralter for me, and it can be for you as well, my friend.
We are all here to help you as we can.
Warm hugs to you, now and always.
xxx,
Kacy

Thank you Kacy...

He doesn't have computer access right now, but I'll read this when I talk to him. But I think you know, that if you talked to Ralph, his every other word was "Leah". So this is truly tragic.

She was amazing. Funny, smart, a spitfire too, but she managed to level that out with her generous heart and compassion.

Thanks, lovie...I'll pass your condolences on if he doesn't get to this first. Love you lady! *smoochies*

I cruised the archives and read/bumped up three of Ralph's posts. His love for Leah was deep and true, and I'm guessing she felt the same about him.
This news of her loss is such a heartache!
Was she ill for a long time, or was this sudden? Email me when you can, Karen. I will be home all day the next two days.

Leah suffered renal failure after she lapsed into a coma, the result of a long illness.

Thank you, everyone.

The kindness of you all never ceases to amaze me.

Leah...smile...her name meant "weary"

so before I light my candles, I'd like to dedicate a favored song to her:

Thanks for the link, I always liked that song.

Weary...now has a white flowering Snow Hill Sage plant, planted in her honor this evening, with last year's sage stick burning sweetly over the new plant to bless the spirit of lady Leah, and to offer solace to our adagio, Ralph, who loved her dearly.

Of Roses, Sage, and Love...for Leah and Ralph.
It came to me right after I planted the sage.
I sure hope Ralph stays in touch with you, and finds his point of peace. Taking care of his parents will be more difficult now, but maybe...keeping his mind and heart occupied with their needs will help in the healing process.
Again, hugs to you too, for I know your heart suffers, for you are an empathic soul, lady K.

Serenity,

Please give Ralph my love and condolences.
Strange, how some names fit our lives so very well;

and how I sense that Ralph will be withdrawn for a while yet, as he deals with all of his emotions, even though he is writing in his head. I know well that very feeling.

Please let Ralph know that if he wants to unburden himself, he has many friends to whom he can scream at...our shoulders are broad, our caring, is unending.

Thank you, sis, for sharing this sorrowful news. I will keep Leah, her spirit, and Ralph's family, in my prayers.

I think I'm learning what Leah always knew--

"adagio" is amazing.

Oh I thank you all so well.

We'll just have to see how this turns out, right?

Right. My prayers are in danger of becoming incantations...

Rest ye well, Ralph.

I am just so sorry I have just come across this, and wish Adagio all the strength he will need to get through this.  I can remember during the storms, his concern for you K, and now it is our turn to put our arms around him.

Having experienced 2 immediate family deaths, I found PIPsters to be a caring, understanding, uplifting family of angels.
My prayers are with Ralph in his sorrow, and for great memories to ease the pain.

May God richly bless him,

Ralph phoned today, and I know he's very appreciative of the condolences, but I think right now he's just very fragile, as he seems to want to chat about anything but Leah.

I did want to extend proper thank you's for him, and to let you all know I'll be attending her memorial service on June 13.

(Arrangements were delayed as to allow travel time for her family.)

Once again, thank you all.

His heartlight shone for her...

I talked to him again--and I think Leah's guestbook is a fine way for you all to tell him personally, your regrets and heartfelt condolences.

I shall be there on Saturday, but he knows people care already.

I don't know Ralph (I think) but as Saturday June 13 just started (3.46am), I want to wish him a lot of strenghts in hours and days and months to come.

When I'll be walking through my rose garden after waking up in the morning, I'll think of him and his beloved Leah.
