Listening to every heart

Open letter to Paul...

I will miss you. You're back with Angel now,
as it should be.

I hope I have an opportunity to listen this
week to the tribute[s] that will be played
daily during your "normal radio time"...

Know that you played a large part in my life...
your love of words, and writing, and research
into stories that would otherwise not be told...

all of that gave a particular "light" to my life.

Thank you, Paul.

Rest in Peace...and know that you were loved.

oh yes....

he made me want to know, the rest of the story. He made me stop and listen, and that was no easy feat when I was a kid!! I'm sad my kids won't know his stories. He will be missed.

Paul Harvey played a large part in more people's lives than he knew I am sure. And I think we all do,especially those here at PIP. Thanks to all for all you do and say to help another along the way. latearrival

He had a fantastic voice, and a keen mind.
Yes, he will be greatly missed.

You know... he and Angel attended our church here in Phoenix. In fact, our pastor will be doing his graveside service this weekend. It was quite an honor in my humble opinion. As I am the "Candy Man" at church I found opportunity to interact with them occasionally. They were very private and most people never got to speak to them. They'd slip out the back door just before the service was over. But I grew up listening to Paul Harvey from the mid-50's and feel like he has really left a void in my life. Godspeed dear friend I will miss you.
