Oh my god! I don't know what brought me here, because I hardly ever venture out of open forum. Oh this is just so very, very sad. I just wish I had more time to spend replying to some off the wonderful poets here at pip.
Marge was always just such a positive and sweet person, I'm sure all who knew her are going to miss her so very dearly.

My thoughts, prayers, and blessing are with all of those who held her closest to their hearts.

What a sad, sad, night this is. Oh my god

Marge, thank you for your kindness and creativity.

To Marge's family - you are in my thoughts.
To Marge's PiP family - I am glad that you shared the laughter and love with Marge and those others who have gone before her.

I found the sad news in my mailbox this morning and though I knew the doctors had given her a very short time, it still was a shock to read Marge had passed away. At the same time I'm somehow glad that she's been spared from further suffering.

Love you my friend, Titia

A couple of Novembers ago, I had 'no clue' that 'poetry websites' even existed.
It was via the 'inspiration' of Marge's Native (true) American 'pennings' (and by
her suggestion) that I came to P.I.P. in the first place. All of us; P.I.P.; poetry
(and literature) in general have lost a grand-fine practitioner; advocate; and
steadfast bulwark!

This was, of course, most sad news.

A caring of the soul
wisps a heart so pure
One of a life that many
proud people must endure
A long feather of  heritage
blown through hurrying winds
Dancing across  the memories
as each cloud of pain descends
Trust  in the beliefs of the land
where once a lifetime it did give
Rests many songs of the Cherokee
Where forever  the spirits shall live
A long feather of wisdom and love
sent breezing through our hearts
Gifts to us from the heavens above
rests into one soul as it will depart
Teaching of wisdom in a wonder
through her natural given grace
A soft gentle hug from her mind
kisses caressing  youthful face
Tortured paths of the braves
washed red eyes of tears
Bounded by the wars
of white mans

I am saddened beyond measure with this news of our beloved Marge's passing. She now has returned to the HOME from whence she came. Late yesterday afternoon when  I posted my poem "Returning Home" in Open 44,
I thought that Marge still had another week or two left on this Earthly Plane. I did not write that the poem was for her because we all were still hoping for a miracle.

God speed, Margie Girl. We all love you forever and a day. Love, Your Earthy One

Dearest Marge, I am devastated that you are gone! Marge, my precious friend, you will be missed by so, so many. PiP will never be the same without you and I will never be the same without you.

May God take you to his heart and give you comfort. I know you will be writing poems for all in Heaven. You will also see your beloved grandmother. Plant lots and lots of roses, another of your passions.

To your family, I send my sincere condolences and may you find peace in her passing. To her girlie-girls, may you always remember her with fondness and love. She adored you both so very much.

With a heavy heart, Marti P.

I am so sorry to hear the news...we've been praying for Marge and her family at our mid-week prayer meeting here.  I will let the folks here know to continue praying for her family...I love what the Apostle Paul wrote the Corinthian believers, "to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord"

Almost 2000 years ago, and those words still hold their powerful meaning...Heaven is a richer place today...

"For our poets - We have updated our REMEMBER page, and made it open to your avinteractive comments.  Please feel free to visit, REGISTER, and POST your personal thoughts about Marge and our other departed friends..
"

I thought that I would include in this thread, the comments that I wrote about our Margie Girl on the Remember Page.

Besides Marge’s “beautimous” poetry,
photography, and philanthropy,
I will also remember fondly,
her love for her grandiegirlies
~ Delaney and Landry,
her pride in her Native American blood,
and how she loved the full moon and flowers.
Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts
of those whose lives she has touched.

OMG! Noooooooooooo! You know, I've had people tell me that because I work in the health care field, that I should be able to accept death. Well, "I DON'T"! This is such devastating news. I, too, am glad she is no longer suffering. But, I will miss her so much.

Marge, my dearest friend, I will miss you more than anyone know. I will always remember all you did. And, you will forever be right here in my heart.

The sad news of dear Marge's transition really brought deep emotions and shivers. Just came back from a visit to my daughter and came in to read the news.

Though there are tears in my eyes I do know within my heart that Marge is soaring blissfully  back into God's arms. I have a vision of her bright smile, after the suffering she is now in peace. She will live on through her wonderful poetry and the deeds of her generous heart. She was always ready to help and give wise advice. And I really saw her always as the Lady of the Moon and through the gaze at the moon we shall stay in touch ...
No doubt dear Marge will meet also up there with all the dear friends and members of Pip gone home before her.

The soul connection will bring us joy and comfort.

Love,
Margherita
