Okay I will go first, I resolved to not let anyone take advantage of me in 2007.  Well that sure worked!  Not!
So, for 2008 I resolve to learn to say "No" more.

I kept the one that meant the most though, I did not smoke for one more year (7 or 8 now!)  Believe it or not, it is hard to quit, and although you really hate the smell once you quit, you will still always want one I betca.

What resolution did you make you on New Year's Eve in 2006 that you can honestly say you KEPT and give us some ideas as to what to resolve to make 2008 a better year for everyone we "touch."

Hey ya'll, I wish you a healthy and very happy

Peace!

Sleep 11 hours a day
eat  healthy
food and drink water
of enough weight

Exercise to fit
vitamin for wit
Sunshine for bone
and let doctors profit
on my every bit

Think more
remember less
laugh a lot
and have all bless

to love well
to be loved well
life
shall never fell

Thank you, Mysteria
and A very happy New year to you!!!

ps
who shall quit smoking?
who shall quit drinking?
who shall quit other addition?
who shall quit *holic?

hmmm... well one of my resolutions from 2006 for 2007 was to 'indicate more' (while driving).. something I didn't quite manage to do for the whole 12 months but I gave it a fair shot ...   I haven't thought of my 2008 resolution yet, I know I'm already behind the eight ball so to speak...but it will come...

Happy New Year!

I actually kept all of my resolutions... well, most of them, anyhow.
I vowed last year to:
Not unmask the Lone Ranger (as he is gone, it was easy to do)
Not to de-cape Superman (see the previous response)
Not to sail the ocean on a toothpick
Not to urinate against a stiff breeze

As I had such success with that, I think I will remake them again this year.

Actually, a few that I didn't succeed in:
Write more poetry
Grow my business more
Take my kids to Washington DC

Congatulations on 7 or 8 years being off the weed!
It can be done!
You still want one?  Ya, the desire has that property, but it lessens.  I don't think I could light one up again, but it has been awhile, like since 1974.  That was from 2 packs a day to zero, though it was not a New Year resolution, just on late August Friday night when I ran out and decided to wait 'till morning, then 'till noon, then 'till Sunday and on and on it went.  I guess I'm still waiting.
But no, there was no resolution for '07 to make or break.
I have an idea for '08, however, and you will see how long it lasts.

It wasn't my New year resolution last year, but I did quit smoking.  When I was in real estate, I used to almost chain smoke or at least have one burning most of the time.  Although I still smoked way too much (aroulnd 3 packs a week), a few years ago, I cut back to about a pack a week, then to 4 cigarettes a day, unless I was with someone who smoked, then probably 10.
y last year was only about 4 a week then I quit.  So gladd I finally did.

I just realized where I put this thread, dummy me!  Anyway, I give anyone credit that even tries to quit smoking it is a hard thing to do.  However, it is even harder on everyone if they don't, but a life choice.  Last time I checked we could still make those.

Happy New Year again everyone.
