Yesterday was sissie Sunshine's birthday.Happy, happy belated one to her!Join me in telling her how much of an inspiration she always is to this place of friendship.



She is without electricity right now do to the cold weather and ice storms, so won't see this until the weather gets warmer and the lines are fixed.Maybe we can gather enough hugs together to warm her whole house...city....state?

Holy Cow! How can it be that you are getting older quicker than we can keep up? That just seems wrong. Of all the people to be tardy with... dang it. Well, just so you know I always hope that everyday is special for you. But yesterday, that should have just been over the top. Happy belated birthday sunnyone. May there be many, many, many, many... well you get the idea.

Happy birthday Sunshine.  We got our electricity back yesterday.  
(we are about sixty miles south of Sunshine)
we are now in a winter snow storm expecting anywhere from 7 to 12 inches of snow...  tis snowing pretty heavy right now.  
I spoke to a lineman who came in from Georgia... he isn't real happy with Kansas weather.
So hopefully Sunshine has a big fire going in the fireplace.  Hope you have a snow blower up there in Salina to clean the walks.

Happy belated birthday. This will be one you'll remember as the icing is on more than the cake.  In northern IL, we had just enough ice to coat and make it look like a zillion diamonds on every tree in the sunshine.

Thank you, everyone! It was a birthday to remember, that's for sure. I was wanting someone to send me several large candles, just to keep the ice cream from freezing!

Tim, we finally got our electricity back yesterday morning at 10:30 a.m. CST. However, not before the inside of the house hit a bone-chilling 38 degrees. By the time we got the house back up to 50...we felt balmy!

It was a long week, but we survived!

Thank you Martie for remembering my birthday!
