 The Writers Guild of America Strike of 2007! During this past November, ABC productions and others, had their writers for their shows leave under strike! Now, hopefully all we have to do is wait until there is an answer to the behind the scenes deals.Dont be worried when you see that your shows haven't been on for a long time, hopefully they can start again this coming winter ( Lets pray)!!!!!!! The producers of the shows ride on the backs of their writers and I can understand them striking. However, whenever such demands for more pay are met, the public sector is who ends up footing the increases ~ via increase cost in supplies and services. For example, the cost of commercials would go up and that ends up with Joe Public paying more for the products that are advertised. In any regard, I still believe that the writers deserve to be paid their dues! Just a thought! You did a great job with this post! In closing, I must add, that the writers are not ever as appreciated as when they go and withdraw their services!  EA |
