Hi all, sorry I’ve not been around but I’ve had a very busy time, Krissy made me a Grand-ma on the 7th August 2007, at 2.40am. Poor love did not have an easy time, and although everything is okay now it was rather touch and go for both Krissy and Ami for a little while. Krissy suffered from late onset of preeclampsia in her 38th week, not a good time to deliver the baby. If that wasn’t bad enough, and it was with her blood pressure going through the roof, Ami was in some distress so it was getting to the stage where it was deliver the baby or, one or both of them, might well not be coming home. After a very long labour, Ami was born, but even then Krissy’s troubles were not over. Krissy had to have a couple of blood transfusions because her count was far too low, she has now picked up an infection and isn’t feeling great, and Ami has lost over 15oz she was 6lb 14oz when she was born, she is now 5lb 15oz.

A labour of love, a trial of pain
You passed it all, look what you gain
A bundle of joy, a gift sublime
A baby daughter, hope’s own sign
And you would go through fire and flood
To keep this gift of your own blood
I know you love her, as I do you
My daughter's a mother loving and true

That pain-warped night is now all past
And you have a joy that will ever last
Those cries that ripped my soul apart
Have brought you this precious gift of heart
So now you see the dawns bright star
Shining above you from afar
I know this, darling daughter mine
That you hold dear this truth sublime

That nothing good, arrives pain free
Remember always this advice from me
Enjoy each day, and live it true
Everyone has someone, and Ami has you

Mushy,
Well how can it be? What a relief they both survived. I pray the continue towards good health. Guess we know what kind of poetry we get to look forward to! Bring it on you couldn't ask for a better place to brag. Give her my congrats. Let me know when I get a turn at baby sitting. Congratulations Grama.

Awww, Ami is so perfect! An absolute living doll!!! She's stirring the natal instincts in me! Then again, perhaps I'll leave the baby bearing to my own daughters from now on! lol

MT ~ Thanks for posting the pics of the precious new bundle of joy!
