Right off-hand I cannot think of any members who live in the Twin Cities area...but if you do, please check in and let us know that you are all right.

Not positive, but I think it was a 6-8 lane, with some under construction/renovation when the entire bridge collapsed.  I do hope those we do and do not know are safe and well, alongside their families and circle of friends.

This is so tragic.
My thoughts and prayers are with those involved.

It's good to know that you and your family are safe, Lauren.  Thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost family and friends.

I went right past that spot yesterday morning on my journey west to east, and know some one else who passes there regularly but fortunately had already crossed earlier.
Tell loved ones how you feel every chance you get, for you never really know what road you travel ....that's the message I read in each of theses tragedies.

Actually, I live in that area and I'm fine. Thanks for asking. I acutally reside in West St. Paul ( a suburb) but if you're familiar with this area you know that it's huge, and many cities and suburbs are connected to each other in one big lump, so it's not umcommon for people who live in here to commute to Minneapolis, which is where the accident occured. Fifty cars went over that bridge, including a busload of children (none of whom were injured).

As of nine hours ago, there were nine deaths, 60 injuries, and twenty still missing. Thank you for your concern and prayers.

I hope someday you get the chance to live like you were dying....
