at Blacksburg, Virginia Tech.

What a thoughtful thing to do~
My thoughts have been so with the families of those who have lost loved ones in this senseless tragedy~

I offer a prayer of comfort to them all~

Thank you for starting this thread.  How my heart goes out to the victims families as well as the roommates, classmates and friends who were such a part of their lives.  May our Lord ease their pain and help them go on in life with renewed appreciation and insight.

I wanted to add-
Anyone who watched the memorial service today
was able to hear poet Nikki Giovanni speak to the students,
as she is a professor at Virginia Tech.

Her presence and energy brought the room to a standing ovation
as she led them in a school cheer.

Needless to say this brought some much needed relief to the pain and tension,
and hope for the future.

I missed that, NancyLee and Nikki Giovanni is a favorite of mine as I chose her poem for a student of mine in First grade to recite in February.
