Please pray for my mother. She was hospitalized earlier this week with angina and is suffering from congestive heart failure.

I am not sure what I am even asking for--just please pray for her well being, in this world or another, and prayers for strength for my family.

If I sound confused it is because I am.

I'm not so sure if she wants to stick around or not. She just wants to be wherever my father is...

and that's not anyplace I know of on a map.

I'm tard folks. If anything, just pray for less pain either way.

Thank you.

Karen,
Friends are specifically meant for the times when we're not even sure what we need. But I do pray for peace, strength, courage and comfort for you all. And for you... a big hug.

Dear Karen,
I join in prayer for your dear Mother's wellbeing and feeling of being home, wherever this is meant to be. Home is love, peace and serenity. May this moment in time be lived in loving awareness by all those involved.
We are never alone, may she walk with her Angels by her side and know that she is on the right Path, feeling the presence of all of you near her too.
Love and hugs.

I'd gladly give my prayers to you anytime... but today, on my Dad's birthday... I pray with knowing the pain even if I don't know the solution... May you all be blessed with strength to get through whatever comes.

My mom didn't recognize me yesterday.

That's a really scary thing to happen.

We are hoping and praying that she got a good night's sleep, a good breakfast, and of course, no matter what the ultimate plan might be--that she have the blessings of very little pain.

Please say an extra prayer for my sister, Twist (some of ya'll know her) because she has been pulling the lion's share of caregiving and is thoroughly exhausted.

Honestly, the thought of life without either of them horrifies me--so thank you all for your generous and loving spirits.

I believe in the power of prayer and yes, Reb, even just positive thinking while brushing teeth left handed.

You all have my utmost gratitude.

ooooooh, ya'll are doing great--keep going!

She knows where she is, she's not happy about it (that means she is being herself a bit more) and the longer she knows where she is, the more unhappy she will become about it--and I just know those good people at the hospital will be doing some praying themselves!

and thank you

but don't stop---

and psssssst? Get Well soon Marge.

You've got mine, little one.  As does the rest of your family.  My husband lost a cousin today - they weren't close, but some of the immediate family's decisions in following their mother's wishes are upsetting to the older generation of the family, so everyone is holding vigil in their own way.  She was 53.  And yes, it was due to cancer.

So, your mother is especially in my prayers...

Kari? Try to help everyone be gentle with one another. It's such a hard thing, and grief is so personal. Tell them not to let grief get in between them.

For the longest time, it has been painful to get together for us--all those empty chairs were hurtful.

But if we have the gift of a little more time this time? I intend to make sure my mother knows me.

Keep the prayers and positive thinking abound, and btw? There's an awful lot of Pip people with the flu right now.

Marge, Jo Jo? Ya'll are the two I know about, so feel better soon. Rumor has it I make a dreadful toddy--but? I found a lovely replacement. Just warm some of the coconut vodka--sounds just as awful as my toddies, but you can't taste it, so...shrug?

Love to all and get well wishes, and condolences to all. (yes Kari, more) and good luck surgeries to all the members of Pip's "Cysterhood". *grin* (It's a strictly undercover membership.)

Honey, I know about the cysterhood...been there, done that...six years ago.  It's a boon, believe me, to have it done.

And thank you.  I have been holding hands over the phone, hoping to remember that one's wishes are just that...their wishes.  Private people are not easy to understand, and this cousin...was very private.  She had a lot to deal with in her young life, and my MIL tends to believe that she never got past some things, walled them up...and you know the rest of the story.

But during this time, there is still connections of sorts.  So we go on.  And life?  It prevails.  Healthy, or otherwise, life goes on.

And for you who have that strange flu, watch out.  It does wierd things with your head, too.  I know.  I just got over it.

to all.

And, K?  I have very good feelings about Mom.  This was just a little twinge.

Dear Karen, my prayers are always with you and your dear Mom.
The greatest shock in my life I think was when my own Mother asked me "who are you?". I thought I could faint right away ... but she recovered from that "black out". So I wish the same to your dear Mom. Awareness and presence are important all throughout our life, especially in crucial events.
Love and hugs.

whew.

My mom, (forgive my negligence to report) has been issued "release" papers.

It's an early release, and she will be on oxygen at home for a while, and we are certainly cautious, but grateful.

(I told ya'll--grin--they were GONNA let her out once she figured out where she was)

*beaming*

That's my mom.

And yep, the fruit don't fall far, but I am prouder of her than me.

Please keep the prayers going. You guys are miracle workers.

May God's angels surround you all with loving, healing Light.
I join all those in prayer for your Mom's sense of wholeness and peace in her body, mind, and spirit.

Loving, healing hugs to you all,

I wish I had seen this sooner, but my prayers are for your mother's continued recovery.  Family bonds - where they exist - are so precious, yet sometimes so tenuous, that they should be nursed above all else.  I envy you.

Heavenly father, dear Lord Jesus, please forgive me of my sins, cleanse my heart o lord , father I lift Karen and her mom up to you in prayer, you say lord, that where two or more are gathered, you are in the mist there of, father you also say that by your stripes we are healed and by the faith of a mustard seed that if we believe with faith that it will be done in your name, so shall it be done.
Lord Jesus you know their hearts, you know their hurts father, this family has been through alot, but we know Jesus that you are an awesome God, you are a forgiving and loving God, and father we know that you are the beginning and end, you are the father of Abraham , Issac and Jacob.
I pray father that you take this situation and draw them close to eachother, healing them, I pray for healing of the body and the spirit, I pray most of all Jesus that they draw close to you. To see your mighty hand at work, I give you all the praise and the glory , Lord you are the only one to know the future, you father , you know what is best for us, I trust in you O lord. Comfort Karen and her family, touch them with the holy spirit, let them feel love, peace and joy like they have never felt before. Father Jesus, you are holy, precious, and wonderful, you are Lord of heaven and earth for there is none like you, I ask all these things in your most holy and precious names, name above all names, in the name of Jesus I pray , AMEN!
