.
Fellow Pipsters I know it has been a very busy and hopefully happy holiday for all of you.

I ask at this time on behalf of our dear Marge Tindal for prayers,
for the ones who were injured, hospitalized and/or their homes destroyed
in today's tornadoes, which you may have heard ripped through areas of Florida.

Link to news site- http://www.local6.com/news/10606224/detail.html

Marge's brother Tony survived the tornado today but
his mobile home sustained major damage.

Red Cross will be in tomorrow to deal with the losses ...
Tony's park had been slowly rebuilding with the hurricane devastation
two years ago ...now ... all to be done over again.

Marge has asked for prayers for Tony
and those in this area who are without homes
Also prayers are needed for those taken to area hospitals.

Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts..
I'm sure Marge will be in with updates as soon as she possibly can.

.

Just in quickly to thank you all for the prayers for Tony and ALL those who suffered losses~

Tony's home is gone ... the damage can't be repaired as it was after the hurricanes two years ago.

Of course the best news is that he is alive and all the work of replacement and moving on will come in time~

Tony is a 'doer', a helper of others ... when he was able to get out of his home he immediately went to the homes of some of the elderly and disabled friends in the park to help as he could help~

Keep the prayers coming, please ... they sure need them as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives~

Thank you, Nance, for being my ink
at a time that I could barely think, much less write about it~

Titia~
According to the weather service, this is the first F-2 tornado to hit Florida in December since 1982.
Wind speed was 120 MPH~
*sigh* ... it's just always something, isn't it ?

I won't be on much ... but will come back after I have more news to update~

Count your blessings, friends, ... I did and I thank the Lord of my knowing that I still have a brother to count among them~

Bill and I just returned from our second trip out to the area ... we took a generator and gasoline out to my brother, Tony, to supply the elderly neighbors house, where he is staying right now, with much needed electricity~

Will check back tomorrow and keep everyone updated.

Many lost ALL ... ALL ... blown away in less than 45 seconds~
It is so sad to see the little children whose Christmas gifts were blown away ...
it's a sad, sad sight~

Our hearts go out to them all ... we are doing what we can do until Red Cross and other help agencies get in there~

They are greatly appreciative of the prayers, just as I am~

Tomorrow ... thank God ... there IS a tomorrow~

*sigh*
The time is sad, the days are long ... but for those of you who have written and offered your prayers for Tony and those affected by this tragedy, we thank you with all our hearts~

To answer a couple of questions that were emailed to me -

Yes, Tony was in his home at the time the tornado hit ... he had just moved from his dining room table to the living room couch to watch a weather report on the television when, without warning, the tornado slammed into his home ... crashing right through the dining room window and wall where he had been sitting~
(God was keeping the watch over him)

He threw himself, face down, into the couch and held on for dear life ... remarkably he suffered no physical injuries~

S L O W L Y  the wheels move ... and it will take a great deal of time more before anything can be done beyond what has been done so far ... Tony has warmth, food, clothes and is staying with an elderly lady at the park whose home was damaged, but is livable~

He feels the need to stay close to his own property and belongings ... and probably with good reason~

Keep them all in your prayers~
Thank you from our hearts~

...and on Christmas Day!?! ~ That makes the devastation all the worse! My heart goes out to your brother Tony and to all the others who have lost so much. How truly sad.

Thank God and Tony's angels that he was urged to move out of personal harm's way! ~ Just in the nick of time! Whew! That was a close one!

I am sending prayers up for Tony to quickly get his life back in order and that he will be protected from something like this ever happening to him again!!!

Dear Marge, your loving and sensitive heart has known so much pain and heartache ~ but thankfully, it has also known the heights of happiness as well. God bless both you and Tony and all of your loved ones!

Blessings of peace, love & Light,
Linda

Red Cross assistance finally showed up with meals and handouts for those who so desperately needed them.

There are so many that have lost EVERYTHING of a tangible nature ... many homes and possessions lost to the ravage of nature in her force~

We haven't met anyone that doesn't have a 'story to tell' of the 'almost' of it all~

The 'daze' is beginning to clear on their faces as they slowly start to pick up the pieces of their lives to move forward as they must do~

Last evenings rains brought damage on top of damage for those whose roofs were already gone and not yet covered with that awful shade-of-blue tarp that leaves us all wishing we'd never seen it~

The decent news is that power has been restored to many of the homes, and of course there are some who have no home to reconnect to~

Please keep them all in your prayers~
They have a long, long way to go~

Amazing to me how quickly the 'I can fix it for dollars' people manage to get to the disaster area more quickly than the aid and assistance needed in a time of tragic events~

Thank you all for continuing with your prayer vigils and for the compassionate emails ... forgive me for not being here more, but my time is well spent doing other things right now~

Thanks, hon ... it has really been so difficult for those involved in this tragic, life-changing event~

My brother's home was condemned ... he was allowed to get a few things out of it that survived the tornado ... Red Cross came through with a first-month's rent voucher for those who lost a place to lay down their heads ... and the Salvation Army has been responsive too~

The power company has replaced most of the poles and lines taken out by the tornado and slowly things are happening~

There has been no FEMA action as of yet ... but hopefully that will kick in at some level to assist~

Friends and family have rallied with some kind and gracious monetary contributions for Tony ... and each of them know just how much they are appreciated~

It has been a most trying time for those who lost everything ... and though nature sweeps through quickly ... as wse all know, the recovery takes time~

Your continued prayers are a blessing ... and we personally thank you all~
