Mommy Muys needs some prayers + update |

Mommy Muys took a fall this morning, flat on her back. She's in terrible pain and we're waiting for the doctor. She hasn't broken anything as far as we can see at the moment and she can move her legs, so we hope it will be only a severe bruising. They probably will take photos and maybe keep her for a few days in hospital, where she can get the care she needs. I'll keep you posted. Titia Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

You tell Mommy Muys that a special little grandie girlie is praying for her ... I shared it with Landry (Delaney is at school) and Landry said, "Poet, call Delaney and tell her to pray too."  When Delaney gets home this afternoon she will say a little prayer too~ I definitely have Muys in my prayers, as I type~ Thanks, Titia~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

Thank you, I knew she could count on all her dear friends. I went to the hospital this evening (Brugge in Belgium) and she was still on ER. It is more serious then we first thought. They seem to think there might be a broken vertebra, but they couldn't see if it was an old rupture or a new one. She has fallen so often in her life. Tomorrow they will take scans and all that stuff and then we'll know. If it's a new rupture, it's fixable they said. She was in much pain and I hope she'll get some sleep tonight. Thank you for the update, Titia. It is so hard waiting, knowing that our loved ones are in discomfort and there's nothing we can do... so the prayers will continue for all of you. YOU be careful, too...because YOU are still recovering! |

I showed her all your prayers tonight and she started crying. I said 'Hé mom, those are happy messages' and she said 'that's why I'm crying, for all the friendship they're giving me'. She has been crying a lot today, she's in so much pain, despite the pain medication that's dripping in. She sends all her love to her pip friends. The ct-scan is scheduled for tomorrow. I sincerely hope it's not a new rupture, but she herself thinks it is. She will be there for quite a while I fear. I hope she'll get her fighting spirit back soon, she always had a strong mind and will, but it's letting her a bit down at the moment. Titia Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Titia, I hate to hear she has had a fall again, but know this woman of strength will endure this to see many more days of health. I am thinking maybe she needed a rest? Give her a squeeze from everyone here, and tell her to get back to her old self soon.  |

Titia, please tell Mummy Muys that we are all thinking and loving her immensely...it is little comfort, I know, but if she could imagine all of the poets here being as cotton balls of cushion...lifting her, comforting and loving her...it's just a thought....but maybe she will imagine it so? and in the meantime, give her our love! |

Hi there, thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. She appears to have indeed a freshly broken vertebra and will have an operation tomorrow early afternoon. They're going to put a little balloon in there and stuff it with some kind of concrete and that should do the trick of getting her off the pain. I've been in hospital a whole day. First I had my own checkup, which turned out to be good, next appointment is Sept. 2007. Still need a lot of fysiotherapie to get those muscles working like they should. Then I've been busy listening to what the doctor had to say about Muys and then I was quite busy to get the approval from the insurance company, but that's ok now too. So, a few more prayers from your side will do the trick I guess  Muys says Hello and she was thrilled with the special photos of the grandygirls Marge, they're hanging on the wall as all the other good wishes do. Don't know yet when Mommy Muys is allowed to go home, but I'll hear that tomorrow. My mom has had her operation this early afternoon and all went well. She called me at two pm already! Tomorrow she has to start walking again and depending on how she is doing, they're letting her go home on Saturday, so she will be in her own place at Christmas. The doctor said she will fysically be the same as she was before the fall. And she has decided not to drive her own car anymore. I've sold it to a friend. She's not going out that often and then when she did, the battery was dead. Winter is coming etc. etc. and she will be more comfortable taking a cab when she needs to go somewhere. She was thrilled with all the good wishes and prayers from her PIP friends. Thank you so much for giving her that. Hugs to all, Titia Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |
