Here's the Canadian link http://www.canadacup.com/woresults06.asp

And here's the Dutch team Blog link (it's written in English, with photos) http://softballwomennetherlands.web-log.nl/

And they are invited to participate in the Japanese Cup in November and the Dutch Softball league accepted, so it seems she's going to Japan too this year (if she will be selected that is).

It is not every woman's child that gets to travel while having so much fun!  Kudos to you and your daughter, Titia!  I hope she continues to stay "safe" and win all of her games!

Well, they need only one more winning to get to the play offs, but Lynn is out for the moment.

I think it's your turn now Balladeer...go get them...because....

The second hit by pitcher in the game against Canada National team, caused minor ruptures in one of Lynn's ribs. They took her to hospital and it appears she was still known in the hospital's computer system from last time, when she had a split open finger in the very first game. At least she played five this time, but I don't think she will play the play offs.

I told her she didn't need to catch all the pitcher's balls on her body, but she just won't turn away, silly girl.

She is really a busy girl and rightfully so, winning is the name of the game to get her team to Bijeng     I couldn't get a ride to Surrey on Monday but watched the highlights on the news here Titia.  They look like they plan on winning all the way!  I hope she heals quickly for who knows, maybe she will make those playoffs?  Go, Netherlands, go!

The Netherlands came in third!!! wich is very, very good I think.

They lost from the Aussies 2-0 and after that they had to play the Canadians again, but they were just too tired, or as Lynn said: one game too many. They've played 10 games in 8 days.

I think the Dutch team did a great job and Lynn will be home again tomorrow. She said she could sneeze without too much pain, so she will be alright before the Europe Cup in two weeks in Italy I guess.

Thanks to all for your support.

You must be sooooo proud of Lynn! How thrilling this all must have been for you all! Sorry to hear that she got hit with a baseball ~ that must have hurt like hades!

I can imagine that you are eagerly looking forward to her safe return home and giving her a humongous hug and a congratulatory pat or two on the back!!!

Hugs with love
Linda
