And my daughter Lynn Karijn is flying over to Canada tomorrow (June 27) to participate in the famous Canada Cup Softball with the National Dutch team.
I'm asking you to keep your fingers crossed that she will stay in one piece this time. Last time she played the Canada Cup, she got a split open finger in the first game and had to sit out the entire tournament.
She has to stay in one piece, because she has to play the European Cup in Italy at the end of July and then at the end of August she's off to China for the World Championship.
It will be her last World Championship, because she can't go on on playing on this high level, due to the very bad knee injury she has had some years ago in Praque. Her body is telling her it's enough after this year. But it will not be the end of softball for her, as she already started coaching a team. If all goes well she will have 3 World Championships to her name during her softball career.
And if Sharon is reading this: she will be playing in Softball City Surrey, close to your place Vancouver.
