We're going to my sister's house tomorrow for brunch. Quiche. And my Mom will be there. She lives there now. She's doing well, all things considered. I'm bringing them flowering plants. Cyclamen. One red, one white. One for my sister. One for my mom. My daughter will come with us. She's got a terrible cold but we've instructed everyone not to hug her too much.

To all the Moms out there... I echo Sharon's wish... Happy Mother's Day!

And I hope you all did what I did... Mowed the lawn Saturday instead of Sunday because Mothers's Day should be a day of rest.

Thank you and a very happy Mother's Day to you, Sharon.

My girls were here yesterday (my birthday) bringing gifts, bouquets and planting geraniums, spikes and trailing ivy in our cement planters.  They'd no sooner left when a florist arrived with a huge bouquet from my CA son, so I have an abundance of beauty (reflective and real) to enjoy.  Last year I was at my mom-in-law's funeral on my b-day. We used to go up north to spend Mother's Day with her, so spent many of my b-days up there, too, since it's always close.

Happy Mother's day to you too, Sharon! My sons have a special reason to celebrate this day because I came so close to crossing to the other side. Ken sent a completely organic carrot cake and Jay, 18 long stem red roses...(first time in a long while I've been on the receiving end of flowers...!) Going to Jay's house for BBQ this afternoon. I feel so very blessed!
