In first month of the year 2003
I opened a page of such poetry
With each word read, I became more a fan
Of both the great poet and the fine man

His talent was so intimidating
I once kept silent, appreciating
But however inadequate my praise
I’ve long since left behind those quiet ways

So though this ditty may be cursory
It wishes happy anniversary
To our Ratleader – for his poetry’s
As terrific as words could ever be!

Happy PIP Anniversary!

Each time you grace these pages with your pen
I’m blessed by your poems – glad you’re my friend!

Ed....a good day it was when you joined, for me and others who appreciate you not only as a poet, but as a friend. Thanks for posting this, Ruth. I'm not good at remembering dates, or I would have. Happy Anniversary, Ed!!

Ah, what a peach -- thank you, Suthern gal!

As you know, I'm fightin' a case of the blues these days (the original Blues Bird with the blues, who'd have imagined it!)...but when I'm down, you know exactly how to bring me up and keep me there.

I told someone just today that I wished I could give back even a tithe of what PiP has given me during the past three years...and I'll say it here again!

Gee, I've got to get up here more often! Your anniversary? I remember beginning about the same time as you, reading and falling in love with your style, or styles, as it truly is. Such talent!! and suthern? you're a talented gal, too! Enjoyed !
