A fourteen year old, Amelia Penny, won first prize with a great translation of the Anglo-Saxon/Old English poem, The Seafarer.

Great to see someone so young showing such craft with language and Poetry.

This is encouraging, I agree -- being that here in the U.S., I see such a decline in the proper use of language.  We seem to be raising a majority of either dog-eat-dog capitalists or angry young warriors (I hope I'm not correct in my vision; just how it appears to me).  This gives some hope.  Enjoyed the article.  Thanks.
