Listening to every heart
Just a note...
This has been so much fun...
and orders have been coming in quite well, thank you!
I have heard from several people, half-way through the novel, that they hope to get the book for others in time for Christmas gifts. No problem...IF you get your order in on time.
I am very aware of postal lines [trust me, I see them about every day now!] but we can do this...
so, follow the link provided on page 1 and see the beautiful work that Nan has accomplished, and get your order in on time for the loved ones in your life.
Do make sure that if you are ordering for more than yourself, that you let me know the names of your recipients. Email me personally, and I will send your gift directly to your friend or family member. All I will need is their address.
Two highlights of this week: One was from a woman who needed to quote a line from one of the poems in the book. For a very special, albeit sorrowful reason. I was humbled to let her have "the lines", as she called them.
The highlight of the sorrowful occasion was that those lines brought some shine to the tears of the recipients. That is what sharing is all about.
The other highlight of the week was that I've been asked more than once, now, if there would be a sequel to this book. It was apparent they didn't read the book the whole way through. [See the grin?] I just responded, "when you reach the end of the book, let me know if you still think there should be [a sequel]."
I will know soon enough if I need to scrap the 300 some pages that are waiting to find some progress.
Thank you all for letting me "bloom". Being a first-timer with this kind of child...you are all being very kind, and extremely patient! I will know in February if the publishing house will fully live up to its name. It's hard, being an underdog in a dog-eat-cat world...but so far, being the guinea-pig in this venture? I don't have gripe one.
And I thank, humbly, and with all sincerity, the people who shared with me the ins and outs and probable heart-ache of this venture. I do appreciate your concerns, but so far....?
It's been a pleasant wonder.
