Can you give us a reason or clue as to what brought this to your attention? From my view of what was in the leader to the page, I would say...

Count Dracula's home?

From the looks of the surroundings, I'd say it has to be a 'Spanish/Portugese/South American' type place. Not too many places have those kinds of cliffs. It could be Arizona, New Mexico here in the states....

Never been to either place but it looks like some of the pictures from Italy or maybe Greece.

I have to agree with Sharon on Greece or a Greek Isle.  But really don't know.  It is easy to imagine it being Dracula's palace, but I thought that was in Transylvania....lol.

I've been looking at real estate online, and all I know is it doesn't fit my criteria.

I'm looking for someplace "safe".

Dunno why, but it was...

And do I get to go there if I am right?

Lauren could have told you before to save all this time by asking Richard - wasn't thinking!       There is not too much that man doesn't know.  Well, at least a little something about just about everything for certain.

Hey Richard, nice to see you too!

I'm sure glad you had this question or I may never have seen that picture, or all 3 of them.  It's interesting yet doesn't really say how they managed to build this.  Getting materials up there must have been quite a challenge.  Wonder if it was done with different sections being added on over a period of time or if this was the original plan and all constructed initially.  Now, who can answer all these questions?  It's an amazing place.

Serenity, it does look like pretty high ground.  Maybe you should look into it, but make sure they have good internet connections first.

Here you go Rae, I too wondered how they built them so surfed around to figure it out. http://www.greecetravel.com/meteora/monasteries.html
I had seen that monestary somewhere before and didn't realize until now it was used in the James Bond movie, "For Your Eyes Only."
