I couldn't give you a better present than the one you have already received.

Enjoy the day with your little buddy--

and I am bold enough to ask for a present on YOUR day too--I want PICS!

I love ya Duncan.

So sorry I am late...

I hope you had the happiest of days!!!

You know that I love you madly and I have no clue what I would do without your friendship.  (Especially last week).  I couldn't ask for a better friend.

  love you Duncan!!!

Duncie Pooh,
Nice to know you're getting older! And doing it so well. Congrats. You're sharing the pics, right?

Thanks Loopy, Chris, Marge, Kari, Nancy, Maree, Karen, Myrtle, Larry...

Yep, this year's birthday was unlike any before.  Amazing, the difference in perspective one gains, when influenced by the needs (which I'm learning are mostly "wants"...lol) of a seven year old.  So, we had dark chocolate cake with dark chocolate icing, chocolate ice cream and Lay's potato chips.  And of course, milk.  (My own slightly nauseating Southern birthday tradition.)  Daryl contributed the entertainment, by way of a half dozen or so neighborhood kids SCREAMING out the words to Happy Birthday...at 9AM, on Sunday morning, after having agreed to let me sleep in for my birthday     since I haven't slept past 6:45 AM in about a million years and as everyone knows, sleeping is one of my favorite things.
It was a great day and I thank you all for thinking of me (and the tomato boy as K calls him...lol).  Bleary eyed photos will be available shortly.  Oh and if anyone has an extra handbook on this parenting thing, could you send it over???  Daryl didn't come with one and I'm pretty much just making it up as we go along.
Thanks again ya'll.  Made me smile...

Hey now--I did not call that child "Tomato Boy"--er....did I?

But if I did, I meant it as a compliment to you, sweetie.

Sheesh.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

(since I've been doing a lotta screaming anyway I thought I'd join in)

Thank you Kacy and K.
So, Sara's another cool Libran???  (Is that a real word?)
I don't know for sure about the accuracy of the information K, but it came from a fairly trustworthy moth, so I figured it was true and ahhhhhhh.... I understand the spirit in which it was said and do certainly take it as a compliment.  How bizarre, how bizarre...

Sorry I am late Duncan, but I have been unpacking and not around, but you know I wish you the greatest birthday ever and somehow I think it probably was.

Books?

They have books on how to raise 7 year olds?

Nah, Dunc...that's just in your imagination.

It's much, much easier to raise tomato boys...
