i know people hate a melodramatic exit from pip but rest assured, no politics, pissing or moaning. i just couldn't leave without a goodbye. i won't say i'll never come back, it's a very hard place to let go of, but there's an overwhelming feeling i'm out of place. as it's impossible to keep away from some of the incredible poets/poetry gracing these pages, i'll be lurking and reading when i can. thank you for the refuge, friendship, support, laughs, discussion and understanding you've given me over the years. take care of yourselves and keep reading and supporting the many underated or burgeoning poets the site has to offer. best wishes, take care all |

Hmmm...I'm going to miss reading your poems and lounge pieces - It seems many people feel like they don't fit - but don't you love picking up a book that is a different perspective, a thought provoker? It's not the same but its refreshing and welcome. That's you. That's the culture here I think - or at least what I enjoy about PIP. I think we've been here two years...on and off granted, but two years all the same, maybe its two and a half years actually. I'm going to check dates. Regardless of feeling out of place, you make up your own forum worthy presence in here, touching (yeah you wish)everyone from people just getting to know you, to those who have loved you as long as i have. I know i'm one to talk because i'm barely here myself, but i do read my favourites whenever i have the chance, and i never tire of smirking at the things you say, be they in the alley, haha, Or in your sarcastic self deprecating day to day comments that we could throttle you for, but love you for too. and for the occasional snippet of gorgeousness you waft under our noses once in a blue moon that you soon snap away and make us wait at least 16 boring sundays for, including all the other days in between those days for another piece of ralphs riting. and even though it doesn't affect me massively if you're not here because i hound you from time to time and i'll update soon(!) but some other poor old sods do not have my fortunate fortune. is this the scariest message ever? i was trying to get you to stay, but my god. I put the salad man in it that i know made you whimper like a girl. Tough love. I should have sent this in an email but, A- I can be mushy in public from time to time, weather permitting. (its clammy warm here at the mo, (makes me feel all laid back and lovey dovey) i've got a fan on and i'm in ENGLAND! the beer MUST be warm now...p.s have you got your fur coat on?) A/B- I just wanted to tell you how much i and other people value your presence, because even when i do, it always turns into a silly joke, when infact your a good friend o mine. distance permitting. Hey Raph.....yep, it's me lurking. I find I do a lot of that lately in here. But, I sure am glad we aren't kicked out when we do that. I'd be in a fix if we were. Sometimes, I'm afraid I'm going to click on PIP and not be able to get in. But, thanks to Ron, I always am. Wherever you go and whatever you do, my friend, never quit writing. Your talent is too good to waste. Oh, and maybe we'll run into each other while we're lurking.
