I'm sure it's no big surprise to you that your romance is The Princess Bride. A heartwarming tale of "Twue Wuve" that has giants, Spainards and swashbuckling. You really do think that love can overcome anything. You may be a touch naive but your heart is certainly in the right place. You've probably got one of those relationships where proper nouns have been replaced with "Snookums" and "Pookie Pie". Eww. Beware a cuteness overload.

Susan?

Would Aliens be concidered a love story??
lol

Actually, there are a couple of them that would fit various points in my adult life. The most obvious one is:

When Harry Met Sally- THe second girl I asked to marry me. She and I had been friends for too many years, when the "L" word and the "M" word finally came into the picture. And our friendshipwas exactly like the movie... on-off-on-off.

Everyone remembers the 'faked-orgasm-in-a-deli' sequence from your kind of movie When Harry Met Sally. It seems that you're falling for a buddy or have already fallen for them. Uh-oh. You're probably caught between the possibility of having a great relationship and wrecking the one you have now. You know what they say, it's better to regret something you did than something you didn't do.

Heh.  The movie they pulled up for me is only correct in that I don't date/hook up with strangers, but with friends.  And even though I and them have moved on in life, we're still good friends.  My SO and I have been friends since about 1997, and have been a couple since 2000.

The few strangers I have dated have all been disasterous affairs.

   Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Your romance is more of a love that needs to bloom within, just like Hedwig of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The film features an East German transsexual who is seeking her "other half" after constant betrayal. You must love yourself before you can need another. You're starting to realize this, along with the fact that you don't need a significant other to be a complete person. Your "other half" has been inside you all along.

This Gemini almost agrees - but never heard of the movie.  I do know I don't need someone to complete me though, that's for darn sure.

Well I'm Gemini/Cancer... born on the First Day of Summer, the summer equinox, which is like right when Gemini went into Cancer, talk about being messed up....

But that leather - spanking thing up there is soooo NOT me...

I hate the thought of being "spanked" by anyone for pleasure lol and as far as the leather thing....

Puleeeze, I live in SC... I live in flip flops and shorts from March until November... I would burst in leather, if not from the sweat alone

I may hate myself in the morning - but I'm gonna love you tonight

My romance with Helen was like
"An Officer and a Gentleman", or "Pretty Woman" when we met. But then again i was in the Navy.

The ending years, more like a mixture of:

"the War of the Roses" and "Ironweed".

But the test shows:
"Casablanca"
"The Princess Bride"
"Hewig and the Angry Inch"
"The Secretary"
and "When Harry met Sally"
.
.
.

And my recent wife Debbie;
"A Good as it Gets"
mixed with the romance in
"Big Daddy" and maybe a little of "Barefoot in the Park".

Test shows:
well it shows the same. imagine that. Except "the Prince Bride" was the first one instead of "Casablanca".

The quiz says "Princess Bride". Although I do love the theme song, Storybook Love from that movie, I wouldn't say it represents my love life. The movie that I think does the trick is Bus Stop with Marilyn Monroe.

Yeah! With the way my marriage went, I'd have to say......

URBAN COWBOY!!

p.s. O.k. not that bad but it kinda felt like it. Far Far from Casablanca however I wouldn't mind the Secretary thing! Anything is better than urban cowboy!

Casablanca is one of my all time favorite movies, but I think Secretary also is a great, under-recognized small movie.

I didn't think the choices on the questions fit me, but I always did have trouble getting things to fit.

Marriages and movies? Well, they were not among the choices in the quiz, but first, there was Sweet November;  that led to Panic In Needle Park and/or Lost Weekend;  then, there was The Philadelphia Experiment with Godzilla thrown in there somewhere; now it’s more a cross between The Lion In Winter (the Hepburn/O’Toole version) and Heaven’s Gate (the uncut version).
