I am amazed that new species of mamals are being discovered...how long has this mamal been out there and totaly unclassified?..years mabe?...also when they re-discover animals they thought extinct always makes me pleased and happy becuse when we lose an animal to extinction..patricularly where humans have been involved in their demise...we loose a vital cog in the wheel of life...everything is interlinked and only mother nature knows why they are linked...thank you Ess for pointing this out....

Better question: How long before plush versions become the latest 'must have' craze with japanimation shows geared towards the addlepated?

Oh dear, just what I wanted, one more kind of rodent!  It still looks like a mouse or rat to me!

"It was for sale on a table next to some vegetables. I knew immediately it was something I had never seen before," Robert Timmins, a WCS researcher, was quoted as saying of his find.

Now that just required a double eweeeee!
