I'm happy to announce that I got to meet hosts of the weekly KBOO community radio spoken arts program "The Talking Earth" Walt Curtis and Barbara LaMorticella in person, as they have asked me to have an interview and read some of my poetry on a forthcoming edition of their Monday evening program. Walt said he really wants to try to get me on for next month.

And guess what? If you are interested, you can tune in live to my performance via the World Wide Web where KBOO also streams worldwide at:
http://www.kboo.fm

When I get an official date when I will be featured, I'll let you all know, yay!

Also, it's possible in the near future I may get my own show on KBOO. With my frequent volunteership at this radio station I love so very much, they've put me up for consideration for a new show in the near future.

I've sent a proposal to start a new show named from my new poetry set, "Emmanuel Endorphin's Serotonin Sundae", an hour-long show I want to devote entirely to upbeat, feel-good, happy music, happy spoken arts, and an advice line to offer happy, helpful advice.

We'll see where that goes as well! I'm patient, so I don't mind if it takes a while before it launches! After all, the greatest labors of love take lots of time in the making!

Love,
Noah Eaton

(angel friendship group hug) Awwwwwww, thank you all sooooooo much for your friendly, encouraging words. They truly are a heart hug to me everyday, and that positive energy is exactly what encourages me to keep writing.

They're looking for me to have versatility in my selections. Yay, that's me! (giggles) So I'll certainly have something upbeat, something more sensitive or hanky-alert material, something experimental, and if there's time something in-between all of that.

Most of what I read will be a suprise of course, (giggles) but I'll certainly include the poem that got me going to begin with, "Good Morning Cameron", the tearjerker dedicated to the classmate I knew who acted up in the first half of his first high school year but completely turned around in the latter half of the year and inspired us all by showing if you summon the will to anything you do, you can turn anything around. Cameron won so many hearts. But tragedy followed that summer after the first year of high school when he died in a car crash on the Fourth of July. The tragic experience made me cry for days, but not only because of how sad it is for someone to die so young like that abruptly and imagining how all his loved ones must feel, but also because of the warmth and the inspiration he brought to everyone. My school created a new yearly award dedicated to overall improvement to his memory, and I wrote that poem to his family and it has remained one of my most treasured writes.

Sincerely,
Noah Eaton

You're on your way now, Angel Boy! ~ and you already know how ding dang happy I am for you!

It amazes me all that you have accomplished in the past year! From being a lead organizer of a 10,000 strong political rally to your charity and fund-raising work. Not to mention your work with children and your cafe performances of your songs! ~ and now this! Gosh, I'm proud of you my dear, dear friend! You rock! I am enjoying watching your grow and flap those angelic, pioneering wings of yours!

Hugs with much love and admiration,
Linda

(angel friendship group hug) Awwwwwww, thank you all sooooooo much for your most wonderful comments, yay! (does happy dance)

For those of you unfamiliar with these poet hosts of "The Talking Earth", Walt Curtis is a native Portland poet with an often Whitmanesque style and is often called the "Peckerneck Poet", who achieved fame after writing this controversial poem that was perceived to some as a "porno poem" but Curtis insisted was really just about "Levis jeans and stuff!" (giggles) That character! From there, he's written a versatile bunch of poetry, some for paintings in art galleries and others on social commentary.

And Barbara LaMorticella is a former Redstocking who moved to Portland and has since become a resident activist poet, who has published two collections.

I'm certainly not going to read any smutty poems (giggles) and my activist/political poetry will be minimal as I want this to be appealing to all audiences, but I'll definitely recite a full range of voice for you all, yay!

Love,
Noah Eaton

(smiles) Awwwwwww, thanks again, everyone! (angel friendship group hug)

I'll be designing the performance in a metamorphosis way, like the butterfly I really see myself symbolized as, once a caterpillar who felt so vulnerable and abused, to the happy free-spirited butterfly I have become now!

It'll begin with more darker, personal poetry stemming from my more depressing poetic early days and "Adonis Vernalis" to the upbeat poetry of the new set "Emmanuel Endorphin's Serotonin Sundae" and "Xeranthemum".

There will be one or two poems themed on current affairs in the world and thoughts on it, though generally it is of life.

Love,
Noah Eaton

Here's a lil' update!

It looks as though I'm currently scheduled to appear on "The Talking Earth" poetry program the third Monday of June (that'd be June 20th). I'll be interviewed and will present a number of poems, yay!

It isn't 100% official yet, but Walt Curtis said my appearance will be right in that ballpark! Wow, imagine that, performing right on the eve of the Summer Solstice! That's just my kind of day to have my vocals engineered like a chanticleer! (giggles)

I submitted a six-poem sample to him and Barbara a few weeks ago and they said they were just enthralled by the energy and spirit in the poems! They basically said that they believe personality is one major trait that makes a good poet and that I am filled with it and the world needs youthful, passionate voices like this.

Some brand new poems you haven't ever seen here will be read too! I have a couple hundred or so poems never posted here. "Sweet Potato Pancakes" is one I'll most likely read, yay!

It won't just be poetry within the half-an-hour to an hour. It'll also be an exclusive interview, where I may be talking about anything from Passions to how capoeira is one of my major inspirations to the new "crane farm" I've been raising! (giggles)

I'll keep y'all updated, yay!

Love,
Noah Eaton
