Listening to every heart

A few weeks ago we saw a wonderful, inspiring, dynamic family of musicians. If you EVER get the chance to see Leahy, I would encourage you to do so because you come internally charged with their energy!

What I enjoyed most about this group, aside from their natural talents, is their respect for their many muses. I would venture to say they feel as deeply about their music as we do about our writing.

So, if you want some excellent feet-tapping, finger-clicking music to listen to, I would encourage you to search them out!

Thank you Sunshine, I’m looking for new music right now, and I’ll look ‘em over! I seem to be a musical omnivore....I don’t “follow” any artist or genre, just like some of everything, from Rossini to Chromeo.....

I’m going to order one today that’s worth listening to if you like guitar of the most unusual kind – Kaki King. Here’s a place where you can hear bits of her....her music and her style are utterly unique – self-taught, and she plays her left hand over the top, so you can imagine what her chording looks and sounds like.....  http://www.kakiking.com/

Chromeo, I’ll let you find on your own – or if you want I’ll bootleg a copy so you get to hear an off-the-wall side of Ratleader’s musical “taste”......

Just picked up on an "old" guitarist - Leo Kottke. Saw him a week after Leahy. Handles 12 string like he was born to it!

mostly I'm into slow sad stuff like Send In The Clowns and piano music by Jim Brickman, somewhere along those lines.

I have a bunch of 60s and 70s music on my computer, of all styles, from rock and roll to motown to the one hit wonders

I also like some of the alternative bands of the 90s and now

but if you like Leahy, then I probably will too...I'll check it out!

Try this CD.....you WILL generate alpha waves....
http://www.v-i-r-t-u-a-l-w-o-r-l-d.com

It's a startup studio, so you won't be able to get this in stores yet...but if they keep this up it won't stay that way for long.

Agreed, Ed...I certainly enjoyed viewing that site. I saw a lot of things in their graphics, pictures within pictures. As for their music, that would certainly put me in the mood to write...and more.

If anyone has music they use to write by, I hope they share it with us, don't you?
