I'm so happy to hear she is improving, and you, Rachel, and your family are in my prayers for the road ahead.

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

Marge, I'm so very sorry to hear this. Life is so fragile and one split-second act can change a life drastically. I pray for the very best for her.....

Friends~
I spoke with my sister today, and Rachel may be moved from Intensive Care tomorrow if all continues to improve in her condition~

She has had multiple plastic surgeries, the broken arm (elbow was protruding) has been set, her leg and foot are doing nicely after the repair work, the nose has been reset, the deep head gash is responding nicely~
The pelvic fractures are the most painful, and naturally they have had her highly doped~
They began weaning her from the morphine today ... hoping they don't have to do a body cast ... the plan right now is to see how she does with reduced medication and then make the next decisions~

She has no memory of the accident and is beginning to remember other things, so progress is happening for her~

Thank you all for the kind thoughts and prayers ... POWERFUL !

It doesn't rain, but what it pours ... last night Jon (Rachel's father) and Eric, her brother, were returning to the hospital in my sister's car when they were rear-ended.  Jon suffered a badly bruised back but Eric was unharmed ... THANK GOD !

Rachel's car was completely totaled in her wreck and now my sister's car is all messed up too~

Sooooo much to curse ... yet, so much to be thankful for ... and so we maintain the faith~

Again, my deepest and sincerest appreciation to each of you for caring ... genuinely caring~

Hopefully, I will return with better news as each day passes~

Dear Marge:  Thanks for the update and while I am very sorry to hear of the additional accident, at least the injuries were slight compared to Rachel's.  Cars can be replaced and people can't!  She will have a long road to wellness, but with all our prayers, it will happen!

Love

Dear Marge

I thank God that Rachel's father and brother were not put in the same predicament as Rachel.  Rachel does have a long haul ahead, but know that we here in PiP are keeping her and the rest of the family in our thoughts and prayers every day!

Love Isobel xo

Marge, thank you for the update on Rachel. The young heal quickly and before you know it, she will be out and about again.

I am sorry to learn of your sister's car but thankfully know one was hurt.
You're right, it never rains but it pours.

Continuing prayers for Rachel.

Hugs to you ... luvs, Marti

Dear Marge, though it is frightening to hear what Rachel is going through, it's also uplifting to know she is cared for so deeply.
May the doctors' continue to be guided by the Angels in their assistance.
Rachel's whole body is responding well and we express our gratitude to Our Lord of Heavens.
Love and hugs.

I hope she likes incense for the incense is lit tonight, to accompany the waves of healing thoughts.

Deepest appreciation once more to each of you~

From my sister -
"Rachel is doing better each day.  She fatigues very quickly due to the drugs and the physical therapy.  Her facial injuries have healed a lot in the past six days.

Her arm is in a cast and her legs are in stockings which have current running through them to stimulate movement.  The worst of it is her pelvic area which is extremely painful with any movement at all, but that improves daily too.  The tests on her right knee is strained but we won't know the full extent until she can bear more weight on it.

All in all.....she's a miracle....and we are just plain happy to have her with us still.  Thank you God.

Please tell everyone who prayed for Rachel that she appreciated it from the bottom of her heart and the prayers were heard.
So I'm advising you accordingly for all those prayers for Rachel and her family!!  She should not have survived this.....and did."

In the email I got today, Lori said that Rachel might be transferred today to St. Jude's in Fullerton.
I will keep you wonderful people updated as we know more~

From the very heart of me ... I thank you ALL~
