As I have read here silently, I have thought about what a wonderful man touched so many here...

Even the slightest word he gave was encouraging and genuine, and even as a new person to Passions, I found a friend that spread a joyous robe across the world.

Thank you Michael Auguste.

Mary:
If you are ever in need of company, please come and be with us.

All Blessings to you and your family,
Kathy Harris

I hadn't known Michael, but when I saw this thread for him, I read it, read his awesome poetry and prayed for him and his family. This opportunity has been extremely touching and my prayers continue for all concerned.  My heart bleeds for your loss, yet I share in the happiness of the love you'll always continue to know.

May our Lord richly bless you in this new chapter of  your lives.

It breaks my heart to know Michael is gone.    But I know he is in the arms of our Lord. He has gone home to rest and his earthly body no longer suffers. He is free and flies with the angels. And know tht God holds every one of your tears in the palm of His hands.

Mary, please know that although I do not know you personally, I am so impressed with your bravery and wisdom. You are an inspiration to all who have come in contact with you.

Sending you loves and hugs ....
Marti from the hills of NH.

Your helping Michael through his last times was the most wonderful gift anyone could possibly give. Michael now takes his rightful place in God's tapestry and is now painting for Him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Thank you all so much.. you say what is in my heart and mind so beautifully. Michael was the strongest man I've ever known. He cannot be replaced.

I'd like to give credit to his niece Angel and sister Laura also.. especially Angel, she stayed with him when I couldn't. And he died in her arms. She was telling him at the time what I had been.. that it's ok to let go.. God was waiting... I guess he finally was ready.

I wish I had been there, but I know he knows how I feel. We had said our good-byes.

It must be glorious to be free of the earthly body and it's frailties and soar free like the birds.

It's only us left behind we grieve for...

Love,
Mare

Dear Mare, I send a big hug across the world to express my simpathy to you and to your son. Dear Michael's beautiful soul is now free to dance in heavenly spheres, as well as in your heart.
I will remember the highly gifted artist and his gentle heart.
Thank you for sharing his last times on this plane with us. We are all One ..... and we are children of eternity.
May you find comfort in this truth.
Love, Margherita

Dear Mary:  I didn't know Michael very well before I saw that first post telling us he had cancer.  I started praying for him and you, at that time and read all his poetry and looked at his pictures.  Who he was came through so beautifully in his work! How glad I am to have gotten to know him a little bit better and to share in this time with you.  You have been wonderful about keeping in touch during such a difficult time. No one here will ever foget Michael, or you and Chris!  God Bless.

Love

You are all so very caring... I love you all...

One thing.. some of you I'm sure realize that Michael's real last name was not Auguste.. If you send flowers or donations.. please make for Michael Pruitt or else they may not be able to direct it properly.

Thank you all so very much..
Michael does soar... I miss him so much.. selfishly... but I know he's so much better now... and I will be too.. someday.

Love,
Mary

God Speed to Dear Michael!! It was great that he was so loved in his last days. And that he will always be remembered as a great friend and a wonderful poet! *hugs and kisses to the family* May your pain soon be eased by the thought that he is in a better place with no suffering.

God Bless you all!

Love,

You have my deepest sympathy. I am sorry for your loss. In all I've seen in Michael he was a free spirit and still is. I know that you will see him again and join him on the other side when the time is right.

thinking of you, in moonlight's silver glow
walking the shore of the spirit's ocean
I'll send a poem on Heaven's clouds to flow
it will carry signs of my emotion

you're free of pain and that's what really counts
't was time you drifted off to meet your Lord
and at the end of Heaven's stairs you've mount
you'll find the folks you always have adored

together you will live in peace at last
and you will smile upon all those you knew
we will remember all your words from past
when we will walk in early morning's dew

in poet's hearts your memory will stay
until we will meet again dear friend, one day

My thoughts are with you and your son Mare in this difficult time. And it's a lovely thought as you suggested, that he waited for the last day of the year to meet his Lord.

Part of Michael's name is still living on in the lamb I named after him (August)this early Spring. He has turned into a beautiful Ram.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Thank you again... all of you. And Titia
how beautiful that poem is. I don't know if I mentioned it here.. I lose track of what I've posted where.. but his ashes will be spread by his brothers at sunrise on the beach.. right in front of the lighthouse he loved... Tuesday morning.

He loved the ocean...

Mary,

I know that Michael is now free of suffering
and is in a place where he will forever be
free of pain...  I am sorry that he has
passed,  but I am happy that he no longer
suffers.  Words don't flow well,  I will
miss his kindness...

God bless each of you and give you strength
to carry on in your lives...

Mary, I do believe that the night sky is shining more brightly ~ for it now has the added light of its newest star...Star

Michael has gone Home and he will be lovingly watching over you and Christopher from afar. His peace will be far greater once you and his beloved son are at peace for him.

And please remember that love is energy, and energy cannot die ~ It can only change form. His love is now divine.

God bless you all,
Linda xo

Mare, I did not see this until now~~~

And I just wanted to let you know that you did everything you could to make Michael comfortable in his last days. I knew you had it within you to stay strong and I am sure he felt all the love that surrounded him before he let go of this world.

Keeping you in my heart, mind and prayers now and into the new year.

We have been blessed having a part of Michael here with us.

comfort hugs

Thank you Mary, for allowing us to share these final moments with Michael. His ship has sailed with grace and dignity, and we were all very lucky to have had a chance to know him through his poetry and art.

Heart hugs to you Christopher, and the family.

I will be posting some pictures of Michael that Mare would like to share in a bit, but I wanted to share an incredible story that Mare told me about Chris.

For the purpose of accuracy I have simply cut and pasted it here for you.  The background to this part of our conversation was that I was responding to the fact that Michael had died in the arms of an angel, (his neice Angel.)  During his transition, he was sharing with Angel what he was seeing in his mind's view of heaven, and the people that were standing there waiting for him.  It meant a lot to me to hear that.
quote:
By the way, I want to thank you for telling me about Angel and what Michael said, and saw, that means more to me than you know.  My friend died and I always like to hear there was a heaven, and it is a place she would have loved.     It helped me too... and here's something else.. Chris told me that he was sitting around a campfire on Friday night... talking to the group... they were telling about their lives.. and what they were worried about.. He had just said.. "And my father has probably died while I'm on this trip..."  And do you know that when I told him the time of death.. he got this shocked look on his face.. he had noticed the time of his statement to the group.. and it was the SAME exact time.  Michael went to him... isn't that incredible?

Yes, and no, as now I realize even more that all things do indeed happen for a reason.

A few pictures that Mary wanted to share with all of you of her and Michael.  The lighthouse they are standing in front of will be Michael's final resting place.  What a beautiful place to rest indeed.
