I just thought that I'd share with you a rare picture. I live in Galveston Texas, an island on the coast of Texas and we experienced SNOWWWWW!!!!

Yes, and all my friends in Houston, Lake Jackson and the rest of Brazoria County got 8inches of snow is what they told me. It takes me moving from the area to get snow there. I expect to see snow here in the hill country of TX in February. *sighs* Another none white Christmas.

Congrats on the snow down there though.

the weather forecast said that we in the panhandle of Florida were going to get snow...but all we got is sleet

What we got was melted long before daylight... but what a treat it was to see my niece and two nephews out on Christmas Eve night, scraping snow from cars to make snowballs... I don't guess I need to tell you who their target was??? LOL

It was a lot of fun. Even my grandbaby (21 months) got into the fun and was picking up snow in her little hands and tossing it. Too bad it all melted away. I'd love to see pictures of the island in snow show up on a calendar somewhere or on a postcard!
