Listening to every heart

One of our lovely poets has a family member who is in need of a prayer.  This wonderful family member of our poet is one of those strong people who believe they don't need anyone...we all know one like that, don't we?  She will be going into surgery later this week, and if you have a moment to say a prayer for her, I know it will be extremely appreciated.

Lord, you work in mysterious ways, as you watch all of us tend to our daily comings and goings.  It seems that it is only in our time of need that we turn to you for help.  You hear our prayers, you comfort us, guide us, love us.  Please take care of our friend's mother, watch over her as she is in the hands of her skilled and talented physicians, and give her the strength she will need to make a sure and quick recovery.  In Your name, Amen.

I know that this little circle has already grown around our poet's heart - I know that she will be sharing this care and concern with her mother.

I thank you all for taking part...and for keeping this matter in your thoughts until her mother is out of surgery and on her way to a swift recovery.

My heartfelt thanks to all of your for your positive thoughts and prayers.

My mother had heart surgery yesterday to replace a defective aeortic valve. It was particularly scary because this is a very vital, energentic woman who was asymtopmatic.
We've known about the defect (bicuspid aeortic valve) for a few years, just didn't think it would be an issue for another ten years or so.

Mother is a very private person and didn't allow me to travel to be there with her. My guess is that she was afraid that if something went wrong, she didn't want her loved-ones remember her being in a hospital bed.

She's also very religious and because she wanted it to be a secret, she hasn't had the benefit of her church praying for her, so your prayers were so very special.

She knows about the prayer chain and is grateful to have the power of prayer working for her.

You are all angels from heaven.

Love,

Corinne
