I realize that these aren't pretty pictures, but I know that some people are interested in seeing just how much damage was done. These were taken almost a month after the hurricane. They are in the county that I live in, in Northwest Florida. This is the link........   http://community.webshots.com/album/200981495XnfVQc

thanks for sharing Ethel...I don't think people realize the damage unless they see it

and even pictures don't do justice

Unreal!  Living up here I never even thought about hurricanes or the damage they could do and did, until it started to affect those I care about down there. The worst that goes on here, is that sometimes it rains for a long period, creating a dark atmosphere.  I am afraid I don't think any paradise could tempt me with conditions that could arise such as this last few months down there.  Thank goodness it is over.

Oh on the contrary...it's not over by far...

there are still those left without homes, there are still blue roofs (tarps put on by the Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA) going up all over the place, gas stations still running out of gas, people still out of work, trees still down all over...etc.

It's going to take awhile for things to be back to what they used to be, and our emotions may never return unscarred.

Oh my! The sunset photos across the bay are absolutely fantastic!  I have not seen sunsets like that since I was in Cape Cod.  Not even sure if we have them here, all it does is rain now until about May

Thanks ya'll. It is still a mess in a lot of places, but people are still working to get things a little back to normal. So amany, including my parents, still have "blue roofs". There just aren't enough contracters to get it all done quickly. Thank God for the "blue tarps". There are so many around that are homeless, too. Please continue to pray for those without homes.

And, Raph and Sharon, thanks for the compliments on my other photos. That slbum of the sunsets on that pretty day last January, is my favorite album that I have!!
Hugs to you all,

Ethel
