I wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow evening, we are having a special graduation ceremony and dinner party for my daughter, Sara, who has successfully completed all the requirements for a high school diploma with flying colors. I have homeschooled her for the past five years, and she has stayed the course with college prep classes as well as studying photography and equestrian art/sciences.

Now, at age 16, she is beginning a full-time apprenticeship with a classical dressage instructor/trainer/breeder, working with Lipizzaners, Andalusians, Thoroughbreds, and several other breeds. Sara works with over 20 horses daily, including stallions and mares.
In addition to barn and herd management, she is getting hands-on experience working alongside some fine veterinarians, and has already assisted the birthing of one live rambunctious healthy foal.

Yep, another proud mom, braggin about her kid.

YAY for SARA!

Forgive me if I appear to GLOW neon for a while.

That's sure a lot of accomplishments for a wonderful 16-year old!  Congratulations, Sara, for staying the course, and having a Mom who helped you along the way!  You're one awesome kid!

And Ringo? I am definitely not one to jump on that name calling wagon, as I've met far too many fantastic young people in my short time on earth. Thanks for the congrats!

Thanks, friends!

I only have a few minutes to spend here today, but will be back on again tomorrow.
This really is a very special day, and I am delighted to be able to be the one to hand my child her high school diploma.
Her new 'teacher' is a well qualified instructor in classical horsemanship, who is also a former professor of Egyptology at UCLA, but whose love for equines and dedication to this classical profession has allowed Sara a golden opportunity to work with a top level instructor.
Thank you, for sharing this moment with us.
