I never voted for him, but I am saying goodbye to Ronald Reagan, and wishing his family the best. The last ten years have been tough for the family. I know, as my own family has suffered from senile dementia, which robs the person of his/her daily life in much the same way Alzheimers does. Goodbye, Mr President. RIP. |

When John Hinkley shot Mr. Reagan the President is known to have said to Nancy in the hospital 'I forgot to duck'. He then turned to the doctors in the ER and said 'I hope you're all Republicans.' The head surgeon said to him 'Mr. President, today, we're all Republicans.' That would be my sentiment as well... today, Mr. President -- we're all Republicans. So long Dutch. |
