Oh, I am so happy to read this news!  I think about Rebecca and her family so much and never stop saying prayers. Looks like that miracle we asked for is on the way!
Thanks for the update! God is always with us no matter what!

Dear Sandgrain and WhtDove.  I was sublimely unaware until recently that our dear friend was in dire need of prayer.  I am certainly adding mine and I send love to both of you.  Love, Joyce

May Rebecca recover perfectly, aligning to God's perfection with every breath she takes.

May she gather in her heart all the love sent out to her and enjoy the warmth.

The Angels are with her.

Love, Margherita

This is for Sandgrain, WhtDve and all the family. I will leave the light on as long as you want me to. I'm very glad to hear the news about Dovey and I can't wait to see her back here writing with the rest of us.
This whole situation with Becky has reminded me what the holiday season is all about. Family. Look at how all the PiPs have gathered together to pray long and strong for their family member. This makes me very proud to be part of such a family.

God Bless you all and tonight everyone will be in my prayers.

And Becky hurry up and get better. Christmas won't be the same if I don't get to give you a cyber hug.

*hugs and kisses*

Love,
Ladycat

God bless Rebecca who struggles so,
Hanging onto her faith, not letting go.
The pain she bears is far too strong,
I pray for her that it won't last long.
Miracles are for those who do believe,
I pray she'll be home Christmas Eve.

Becka is having a hard time once more, with fluid on her lungs, and back on dialysis.
Please keep those candles of hope burning and prayers coming her way.

Rae, Rebecca, Tim and family - the candle of hope and prayer is indeed still burning here at my home and on all floors at Cedar Lodge.  May he give you the strength you need for endurance to ensure her recovery and homecoming.

I am blinded by the aura surrounding a spirit steeped in divine love, as White Dove continues to teach me the power of faith when I see no hope ahead. What an amazing person we have been so fortunate to know and to try to emulate. THank you, Poet devine for this thread and GOd bless our dove of peace

I received this update from sandgrain (Becky's mom).

quote:

Just talked to Rebecca's nurse in the ICU (intensive care unit), where she's now been for 2 weeks.  She said her temperature's a little subnormal now, I think she said 96.?, and they managed to get her off the respirator today.  She still has an infection and a bag attached to her colon.  They'd talked of taking a biopsy from where it's attached to see if there's an infection there, too (her pancreas is infected they say).  She's not bleeding like she was, so looks much better with red skin than the purple she'd had.  She's in a lot of pain and still swollen although not as badly since they managed to take some of the fluid off.

For those of you who don't know, they did surgery thinking she may have a perforated colon due to all the bleeding that was going on, but that wasn't the case.  Her stomach is very painful.  She's awake off and on.

I can't imagine she'd be home for Christmas, but even if it's for Labor Day, I'll accept it as long as she does.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

Rebecca and her family certainly represent all that a tower of faith and hope's foundation are made of, and are an example to us all.  I will be praying until I hear she gets home, and the light still is illuminated in hope it will be soon.

My dear Sandgrain, you raised a fighter.  I know this, because my mom raised a few of them, herself, and my brother, who is still recuperating from his own problems, is right in here, praying for Rebecca.  I think between the two of them, our Good Lord is going to realize that they still have a LOT to do here on earth.

Earlier today I went back through a few posts where I first found myself addressing a comment to you.  I told you how much I liked your user name...and at that time, I did not realize you were Rebecca's Mom.

There is a lot going on around here I don't always realize, because I'm not always able to be here as much as I would like.  I don't always make connections...I just love the poetry and appreciate when we come together, even when we all come together at times like this...

and it seems there are a lot of times, my dear, when we come together for the best of reasons...when we see beyond "reason, fact, and science" and reach for stars, hope, and miracles.

I believe in miracles.  I also believe in red flags, and when things "feel" wrong.  I cannot say that anything "feels wrong" about our dear Becca.  So I continue to pray that she is just going through one hell of a trial right now...and I am sorry for that.  I don't wish to give false hope, but I wasn't at first sure that my brother would see Christmas this year...but like I say...

we have a bunch of fighters amongst us.  Please, when you can, continue reading the messages from the poets and friends at Passions.  Rebecca hears them, I know she does...

and I believe she will see Labor Day.  Give her my love.

The prayers and love continue...
I believe in miracles and the power of prayer.
Holding you close Rebecca in thought and prayer.

Faith can move mountains,
love unbreaks the shattered glass
believe with all your heart, my friend,
and watch the shadows pass.
