Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-02-25 06:29 PM

There is one among us that we know
Who needs your prayers now, it’s so ~
“No Name Required” was the request,
and I told the poet, “I’ll do my best.”

They say if only one is aware
Of the person’s name, it’s square
With God, the Angels, and all that pray
To lift those spirits for one more day.

Within the darkness the poet finds
A candle, a match, a light in kind,
So please join me in this circle of friends
In holding hands, prayers never end.

~*~

Our poet is fighting depression.  All has
been done, for now, but who knows what prayers
Might be answered?  Is there one of us who have
Not dealt with some form of depression in our
Lives?  Our poet is working on theirs, in all
The right ways…our poet just needs a boost of
Encouragement, and I truly believe it will
Be found, here, within this circle.

Thank you.

Sending my thoughts and prayers for a poet's spirit lifted out of depression...I know what a horrible place it can be.

Sending a prayer that all will be well.  It
takes time,  and a reality of the good we
have in our lives.  No matter how slight or
small.

Ths poet has my prayers and I know they will be heard, because God hears my own each day.  Dear Lord, please heal this person, one of our own, that we lift up in prayer to you.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Most graciously heavenly father,Dear Lord Jesus,
I pray for this poet, this friend of ours, you know their name and you say where two or more are gathered you are in the mist thereof.... We come in your holy name your holy presence,to ask for peace, joy and happiness to be restored in this persons soul...touch them and heal them with your love and comfort.
Let them claim hold to this verse."I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who gives me strength"...I ask that this depression be bound by all the powers in heaven..by the most holiest of names..in Jesus Holy name....I pray...Amen!

May your heart be lightened, and may love and warmth flood your soul..bringing you out of this dark pit...may the love of Christ heal, take away the darkness and be an everlasting light~

love and hugs

joining the circle, reaching for a hand....
may this poet know that they are among  many who can identify with this, myself included in that group as I also have felt the brunt in full force of depression. If I have any advice that I could deem worthy, it would be to accept the hand that reaches for yours and find the peace in knowing that you are NOT alone.

as my signature line says,
It's made me who I am, and I have become
comfortable in the skin I am in.
May you find the comfort within your spirit.

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...

Sunshine, that was lovely...

~ Dear fellow Pipster and friend ~ for we are all friends here at Passions ~ I am enfolding you in my loving embrace and praying for the angels to surround you and lift your spirits up.

Our life's journey is a circuitous path of highs and lows. The valleys only make the summits of the hills that much sweeter when we finally manage to climb to the top of them.

My prayers and love are with you.

I remember what helped me when I was down, it was friends, just like in this thread, that kept my eyes from going down down, they kept reminding me to 'look up'...
so my fellow poet, here I am to say
Look up to the Light, do not let the darkness take you down
and write me if you need to talk...so many of us here know just where you are, and reaching out of where you are to a helping hand is a good thing...

"I had the blues because I had no shoes until upon the street, I met a man who had no feet" (paraphrasing Kahlil Gibran?)

I don't mean to be trite. I've suffered depression since earliest memories (sometimes nearly paralyzingly debilitating) and as pathetic a mantra as it may seem to some it has helped me to know that things can always be worse. Trust they always get better as well.

I hope the sun is shining where you are. A nearby body of water and a long walk may help. Good luck and gain some strength in the knowledge that you aren't alone.

A small indoor waterfall....a CD of the ocean's sound.....a little $15 machine made by a company called Homedics that allows you to change the recurrent sounds from waterfalls, oceans, a summer night, spring rain or a heartbeat may help.

Find a stranger who's willing to listen. You'd be surprised how many folks can tell a similar or worse story than yours.

Bon chance.

I have heard from our poet, who is feeling genuinely blessed by this outpouring.
quote:
I am so touched by the way you answered my cry for help...  I read all the words my dear friends wrote down for someone they don't even know...  I promise you... in times of darkness I will  come back to my family here to read all the words of love... because it helps me to see the light again...
Thank you so much... and please let my PIP family know how blessed I feel with so many friends...

Look at the difference you have all made. Yes, we do know this poet...some of us a little better than others.  Point being, you all pitched in and shared a thought, and those thoughts are getting our poet  through to the next day.  Even though on medication, and even with that, we always need to know we are not alone.  You have all done that now, times over.  Thank you again for your care and concern.

It's important for you to know that you aren't alone...that there are others there to lift you up and give you support...regardless of what you're going through. Please know that I am here to give a helping hand to whoever needs it. I know these feelings of depression very well. They aren't a good thing to have.

This support from all the wonderful people at Passions is wonderful and very uplifting.
Heart Hugs to you all,
Ethel

Our poet is doing much better!

quote:
My dear Karilea,

I am happy to tell you that I am doing so much better! Something definitely changed! So prayers do help! There is still a long way to go but now I have more and more good moments.

The best part is that I picked up writing again, I am working on a book, each day I try to write for 2 hours, and sometimes more. It's good to have some kind of discipline during the day, it helps me to stay focused on recovery, and it gives me the feeling I accomplished something at the end of the day.

I want to thank all my friends for their thoughts and prayers!

Thank you all, again!

This is a beautiful love and prayer thread. May our friend recover fully and enjoy life again. There are times when we are stuck in a dark tunnel. Love is the best treatment and the light is never far, it's always there. May you see it and touch it and be again wrapped in it.
Love, Margherita
