With all the announced exits recently, I just wanted to announce my decision to stay so that everyone would know. Well, I guess it's not really a decision, as I wasn't considering leaving anyway... but I wanted you to know that anyway, to have some good news for a change (of course that's a subjective puddle many-a-person could jump into now that I think about it).  peaceI can't believe I spelled "wanted" "wnated"! |

I'm staying too...I'll grow old here, you watch and see. I think it's neat to develop the friendships we have and be able to touch people with words...this place is special. I could not imagine leaving. It will be a sad day in history if this site ever shuts down for good. |

Don't let Christopher fool you. We made him say that. Besides - He's got a PiPball and chain around his left ankle and his keyboard is handcuffed to his left wrist (leaving his right hand free for typing)... and - His computer has received a special code that keeps it from exiting the netpoets domain...  We send in a bucket of PiPcorn for sustenance three times a day...  |

LOL, as I am about to unplug this, what do I read but a bit of levity to brighten this snowy day. Yep, of course it IS snowing and wet out, since it's time to load up the car this afternoon to ship some things via el parcel posto, then head outta Denver Friday AM. Glad to read you are staying, but sounds like you have a tracking device installed, so you wouldn't get far anyway. LOL, thanks for the grins.  a temporary goodbye to everyone! I won't be around for a while but wish everyone a fine Happy Valentine's Day and safe President's Day. Send all my replies and complaints directly to Christopher, keep him busy.  |

Wow - I figured a few, but not that many, Jamie! oddly enough - "The Best of Bowie" is the exact reason I asked. Ran across it the other day and picked it up... he's one of those artists where I didn't recognize the name of many songs, but upon hearing, I would think "Oh, I know this one!" Running through the list I also noticed that 'bout every other one was in a movie (whether done by him or Adam Sandler [Space Oddity]). Of course, I didn't have to pay for shipping, so t'was affordable. |

sadly, i remember when most of them first hit the stores - still, there are some gems to be found in the bowiefiles-- many of his songs just seem to 'work' in movie settings,, much like 'golden years' in "a knights tale" |
