Hello all

getting Reflections in the mail got me moving on this. Should have done it much sooner but have been a bit preoccupied by something that I will address in a another post.

I put qute a bit of thought into the design of her stone so that it would match Monty's.

I had a lot of discussions with family and friends about the poetry on the back.

The unveiling of the stone (memorial service) will be on April 4th at 11am.

That is so beautiful Dave!!! I wish I had gotten to know her better. I only knew her for a few months before she passed. But I felt comfortable talking to her via e-mail. She helped me out through a few situations. She will be missed by me.

David, this is just beautiful and so...Chipmunkish, now we all know where her spirit soars.

She's never out of my mind and often when the Sun is rising, I greet my Chipmunk friend with a smile for I'm sure she's in that light somewhere.

David, as usual your caring heart for Renee shows through in your selection of this stone, both front and back.  You indeed picked a beautiful marker and thank you for showing us.  She will always be remembered for her personality, poetry, and caring heart.

Dave, even as I'm reading this now, I'm getting a tear in my eye and knot in my throat from missing her. She is so missed around here. Even though I wasn't here very long, I miss her so much.

Thank you for showing the marker to us. It's very nice.

Ah David.  Thank you so much for bringing us into your life once more.  As Lyra was the impetus for getting Passions "Reflections" underway...it's quite fitting that you share this with us now.  I'm going to go ahead and print this out, and tuck it into the book, that I may never forget how it came about that a little chipmunk found herself a home in everyone's hearts.

Dave, well done!  Lyra still lives in our hearts and is dearly missed.  She was my friend and blessed my life with not only her kindness, strength, common sense, but her sweet friendship.  I SO miss her, as do all of us.  She touched us all in a most special way.  God bless and hugs.  You were also a great blessing to her, as she let me know many times.

Big hugs, Super Dave, yes, you are SUPER!

It seems like it was only yesterday when Lyra and I would discuss poetry on the Moontown Cafe website ~ I always thought she was a truly gifted writer and because of her I am here now.

Beautiful stones, and the passage is well done.

RIP Lyra.

Hi David ... I think of her often and miss her so much.

The stone is lovely and most befitting a pesky garden 'chipmunk.' I think the rhyme you picked for the back of the stone is beautiful. I know she would approve.

Hope you are well ... hugs and loves,
Marti from Boston

Dave, everything about that headstone is perfect! ~ except for the date of her passing ~ March 18, 2003. It came far too soon...

Her poem was as lovely and as deep as she herself was. I miss her sweet presence and her poetry.

We still think of you, Lyra!

Dear SuperDave,

I'm glad that I checked into this site this morning. The stone is a glorious memorial to Madame Chipmonk. You have honored her as she deserved. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I miss her, if not for her I would never have known about this wonderful community, Piptalk.

I cannot believe that time has passed as it has. It seems like yesterday for me but, much as happened since as you know! I hope you are doing well and moving forward with your plans. You have turned the house into a home and moved little chippy with you, no doubt.
