A query for those in the know: Is there any way to end my membership at PIP, aside from fading away and never posting again? Not the most adequate form of closure, as you can imagine. I won't be checking on replies, nor answering any e-mails detailing the possible procedure (nor justifying my reasons). Either it can be done, or it can't. And it if can't, then so be it. I've enjoyed my time at PIP, and have been driven furious by it in equal amounts. You can only be driven into apoplexy by what you once loved, so consider that a good thing. I'm not going to list reasons here, or waste time with the roll call of names. Those who are near and dear to me know who they are, and quite possibly know the reasons that I have made myself a ghost at this site. Those who aren't near and dear aren't even reading this, or they are, and shrugging this off. As is their right. It occurred to me today that I have been part of this place, off and on, for four years. It has been, I hope, an enriching -- if not sometimes trying -- experience for the both of us. Mikey, I for one will miss your writings....I even will miss looking up words in the dictionary that you have used and I didn't know what they meant. As per "apoplexy." You made me think, feel and wonder. Whatever your reasons for leaving....be well and never stop writing. Chris |

I haven't been around as often as I used to be for many different reasons. But, somthing alwayz brings me back. I think it's the poetry and the way it makes me laugh and cry. Mike, I've told you different times since I've been here, that I didn't know what to say in response to your poetry....because you are such a talented and intelligent writer. I love to read your poetry, though, because I always learned something from it. I have missed you, too...but I guess that doesn't matter. Anyway, I wish that all of you wouldn't leave, but it looks like some of you have made up your minds to do so. All I know to say is that I wish you wouldn't , but if you do, I wish you well. |
