Anyone??

I make a list and try to stick to it, only to find I have placed the list in some forgotten drawer, and about 6 months down the line when I decide to actually do spring cleaning, I find the list, and realize I have not done well.....then of course every year I, too, say I will do better with the list this year....

curious, do you keep one? and stick to it??

By the time I recognize this moment it will be gone,
I will bend light pretending it lingers on

Resolutions come and resolutions go.  Promises, on the other hand, seem a little more personal.

And I'm working on mine, right now!

I never actually make a list...
I have the same resolutions every single year, and I have yet to break them...

1) Never urinate into an oscillating fan
2) Never un-cape the Man Of Steel
3) Never un-mask Clayton Moore (although, with him being dead, I guess I should drop that one)
4) Improve musically... even the slightest bit
5) Never forget who it is that pays my gas money to get home from the shows, never cheat them, and never take them for granted.

Cause in my dreams it's always there
The evil face that twists my mind
And brings me to despair.

I resolve to not resolve anymore.  I just choose to daily live my life striving to be a better person :-)

Hi, Lauren...

No, resolutions never seemed to stick...but, I do set goals for the year. Plus, this year I wrote up a formal intention to unconditionally love myself. That was a big leap to do. So, yesterday, I spent the day at a dream poster workshop where we found magazine cutouts and words to anchor the goals. It was fun and that way, they'll be "in my face" all year!  That's gotta help!
Hope each of you have a wonderful, healthy, happy, and prosperous new year!

Love and Light...jc

KS- By resolving not to resolve, have you not already broken your resolution???   lol Or is that yet another paradox for my puny brain to ponder??

I don't make any at all anymore, because I end up revising them to suit whatever is going on at the time, so that diet I was going to start in Janaury usually gets put off until at least November, and then I have to shelve it until January because of Christmas

Lauren,

Try an aspiration, rather than a resolution.
Seems to work for me.

"...curious, do you keep one? and stick to it??"

I don't believe in making New Year resolutions because if I ever feel a need to change or start something new for my own betterment - I do so right there and then.

Happy New Year everyone!
