I've been reading about the wildfires in California. Two people died in their car while trying to evacuate. Two elderly men died as a result of the stress of evacuation. Hundreds of homes burned and many, many people told to leave even a hospital for mentally ill patients has been evacuated (1300 patients).

This is such a terrible fire and it's not under control. Please join me to pray for the victims and the evacuated, for the firefighters who are risking their lives and for anyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

If any of our PiP members are in harm's way - please stay safe - if they tell you to go, go! Don't take any chances.

We have a lot of CA PiPsters out there, and my prayers are with them, as well as my family members.

My family has been praying since yesterday for all the people involved in this horrible fire. Can't even imagine how devastating it must be!

There are fires all over...one of them about 10 miles from where I live in Glendora.  The fire has come down into the low lands and hopscotched through neighborhoods...burning some houses to the ground and leaving others un touched.  The bark beetle infestation in the mountains has made easy fuel in the mountain areas.  The counties of Los Angeles, San Diego, Ventura and San Bernadine have been declared desaster areas.  My husband and I packed important stuff today...as we heard on the news that it was headed this way.  The Santa Ana winds keep changing direction...right now things are calm.  Thank you for all prayers headed this way...some people have lost everything that is burnable.

I just read that the death toll is now at 14...guys this is serious. Please if you're told to leave, don't worry about material things...just take yourself and your loved ones (and your pets!) and go.

I'm sure the Red Cross needs donations now too...

Thank you for your prayers,

I live in Escondido Ca, and at this time have fire on three sides of us, we are on voluntary evacuation status. The ski is raining down with ash and is darkend by the smoke, We are at the winds contol and are pretty much ready to leave if it gets to that point. My whole family has houses in fire stricken zones so we are ready to move who ever at any time! I find shock is the mental state at this point and sadness for all of those who have lost loved ones. I send my prayers to all and will try to keep in touch, but the power supplys around here are being destroyed pretty rapidly so phones and electrical could be lost,

Stay safe, everyone. Maybe you should evacuate to be on the safe side. No sense waiting to see which direction the winds will blow next, and find yourselves trapped. You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Still praying here...
This is far from over, and these people need
all the support we can give...

The death toll is now up to 17.
Over 1500 homes have been lost.
Well over a half a million acres have
burned (over 800 square miles), and there
is no end in sight.
I have no idea of the total number of
evacuees, but just today, they evacuated
another 35,000 people.

This is a truly devestating situation.
Please, lets keep these people, and those fighting
the fires, in our thoughts and prayers.

I just took a look on cnn.com, and they say
the number of homes lost is up over 1900 now.

Simply unbelievable...and so very sad.

I was down in San Diego last spring, its one of the most beautiful cities in California in my opinion. I was there w/ Campus Crusade for Christ's "Big Break" and we attended a church down there that I pray is not burned down by now. I also have 2 friends one that lives in Orange County and another one in L.A. and im praying for them too because the fires are so intense that they reached southern L.A. i ASK EVERYONE TO JOIN TOO.

Lifting still all in prayer~
I have family who have had to evacuate their homes ... fortunately they returned to find their home standing, while others were burned to the ground around them.

Praying that all our members and their families are safe too~

I've heard that the rain/snow are either there already or on the way, and I hope it's helping. Please stay safe.
