Prayers sent out--I worry...

STAY SAFE.

(and yeti? GET OFF OF THAT RIVER.)

Bri? Board up please.

and Mark? Clucking my tongue at you...what part of mandatory evacuation don't you understand?

shaking my head here...

STAY SAFE. Anybody else in harm's way?

(I like to know who I'm worrying about.)

Hmmm...hopefully it will have died down by the time it has hit PA.  I know a bunch of people are praying for the day off, but they're nuts.  Winds should hit us at about 60-70 mph...so all we have to do (I pray) is put away the porch furniture.  Like I said earlier, all I have to do is go buy buckets for all of my leaks :-p

My prayers are with all down south...

My daughter and her family live in Massachusetts. I think they're going to feel the effects of the edges. Pray for them, too, please. And isn't Barry in one of the Carolina? Is he near the water?

if they could ever make up their mind..so that we know how strong the wind and how much rain it would lessen the worry..but I am on the MD/PA line and we may have 1-6 inches or 4-8inches of rain in one day and  on Friday have 60 mph winds or higher...
so it's just a matter of waiting to find out what the storm actually does as it closes in on us. ...
They already closed all Maryland schools for  Thursday and Friday "just in case" of flooded roads, I would suspect.

It will be an experience.

Yes,witch..The yeti is heading for higher ground (Marriott maybe?) And Rosie is going to have a "day spa" experience with my friend the veterinarian.

I'll check back when I can...Just hope tha water doesn't get inside the shack, it ain't much, but?

Thanks for the concern, I DO appreciate it!

Saying prayers for all in the path of Isabel. It's hard to imagine the fury of such a storm. Hope everyone in the east will keep in touch so we'll know you're all safe.

April and I are waiting to see how hard we will be hit here.  They say it will be mostly high winds and flooding, so I hope that's all it amounts to.
Everyone, be safe and take care!

Mark called me late last night from the VA Beach Pier area so that I could hear the waves,(and I was watching them live on the weather channel at the same time, which was almost as groovy as being there.
My mad crazy storm chasing aquarian was gonna hang out there over night and head inland early this morn as the curfews and road closings were going into effect at 6 am.
He promised to keep me updated for as long as the cell phones keep working.

My thoughts and well wishes go out to all who ride out this storm..

Sen? thank you (you know why)

Please keep us updated on how he's doing.

(big hugggssssssss) Thank God Hurricane Isabel has dropped from a Class Five to a Class Two hurricane, yet I continue to pray for those closest to the waters and wish for all to be safe and damage to be as little as possible! God Bless You All!

Ed, Brian, and Mark are all okay.

Last I heard, though, none of them had power,
so they likely won't be able to check in any
time soon...but at least we can breathe now,
knowing that they are safe!

Ed, Bri, and Mark?...hugs to all of you...

And Liz...good to hear from you too.

Bri has power (but then, I've always known that! )

And I'm not sure yet if "the shack" survived, but I HEAR Ed and Rosie are fine.

Mark too, tho I'm not sure about his homestead either.

I'm just happy everybody is okay.

Crossing my fingers for 'the shack' too,
but yes...very glad that Ed and Rosie are safe.

Oh! The dreadful wind and rain!

Just got back to the shack, and found it standing. The river never reached flood stage, but some big-ass trees fell down all over the power/phone lines.

(And for some odd reason, I'm the only one down here on the river with phone and electric)

Thanks much for the concern, they were many affected FAR worse than I.

The world, has indeed, bowed to me.
