A former boss of mine, her name is Louise, went to the doctor on Monday and they immediately scheduled an MRI for her. Yesterday they did surgery to remove a tumor from her brain. They hope they got it all but it was a stage 4 malignancy (the worst kind) so there isn't much hope. She was about 5 years away from retirement age and has a husband, two children and 3 grandchildren. At this point, there is going to be radiation treatment and pain killers to make her comfortable but the doctors are holding out no hope for her.

Please keep her and her family in your prayers. Thank you.

Sharon I am sure that your prayer and that of her friends at work will be heard, and just knowing you are there for her in your friendship should be a great comfort to her.  I shall include her in my prayers as well.

In prayer for your friend Sharon.  This is so hard, Tim and I have a friend that has a brain tumor and the doctors aren't giving him much time either.  I will pray for her health, and her husband, her children, and her grand-children.

The Doctors may not be holding out hope for her, but there is a higher authority who will grant hope and peace.  My prayers are with her, Sharon, and also for her family.  ~S~

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Louise came home from the hospital yesterday. They didn't have to shave her hair off, they went in under the scalp in the back. She is upbeat - feeling pretty good actually. She'll have radiation and some experimental drug treatment. We haven't heard what the prognosis is yet so I think as long as she keeps an upbeat outlook and continues to fight this, there is always hope.

It certainly makes you realize that life is too short to hold petty grudges with people. Please! If there is someone in your life that you were not talking to for any reason, let it go. Make up! Be friends!

Glad to hear that things are looking up a little bit. Praying that the treatment will solve the rest of Louise's problem and she will be well, in time.
