Time certainly does fly when you're having fun!  August 27, 2002 was the beginning of something very special in my life--my membership into a passionate family of kindred spirits. I have had a very full and adventurous life, but something had been missing---and I now know what that was!--You! I had dabbled in poetry from time to time ever since I was 6 years old, but it wasn't until I joined Passions In Poetry, that I really got passionate about writing and reading poetry. It surprises me how many poems that I have managed to write this year--even with my having been away for a few weeks! I was able to do that because of all the support you have given me. I have had an appreciative audience and that that has spurred me on to write and write. I have also had the pleasure of reading a tremendous amount of very fine poetry and in the process--I've learned so much!---new words! poetry forms! poetic insights! Along the way I have also made several close friends with whom I exchange emails and the sharing of our lives. I must admit, that my "non-cyber" friends sometimes feel left out! They think this obsession of mine will pass--but I doubt that it will! Working from home has afforded me the opportunity to pop into PiP throughout the day--and I enjoy the pip stops--I mean "pit" stops! I get fueled up with poetry, then it's back to work! lolI thank each of you who has made me feel so welcomed! Oh Linda, you are just too special to every one of us, sweet friend, and though we didn't get to see your gorgeous poetry as that sweet 6 year old girl you were, every one of your poems reveals that girl that sings in your heart and shows how special and beloved you are! I know exactly how you feel, Linda. It's been our pleasure to have you with us, and we all look forward with anticipation the many treasures you will continue to share with us. I had similar feelings after my first year...and today, I can honestly say, that if I don't get my PiP fix...I'm funky! LOL... Congratulations on your 1st Anniversary! |
