I miss Lyra

it is as simple as that

I did not know her as long as many here
but
you did not need to know her long
to see her beauty

I miss her words
I miss her heart

her blessing
and legacy
is here
still

I know she reads us

Every time I go back into the archives I find her little chipmunk remarks,
and I find my eyes misting up.
I miss her too.

It's just like a chipmunk to store little nuggets all over. It makes it easier to not forget.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Brian...thank you.  I use Kit's smilies and when I go to her index, and see that little chippie munk on the screen, I feel the breech...we do miss her so very much.

Brian - This is wonderful of you.  I expect that Lyra is pleased we're all thinking of her.

On my recent visit to Kalamazoo, Dave brought Ron and me to visit Lyra at her final "Home"... I felt a sense of peace there beside her - and a big warm smile inside.  I think she's still got Passion in her soul...  I'm very fortunate to have had her for a friend.  Dave will surely appreciate these very sincere well wishes, Brian...

I miss you too, Lyra... God Bless...

Thank you Brian and the rest of you as well.

I of course have memories of her all around me here as well and I do walk these blue halls too. I should reply more, but that will come with time.

David

I also miss this dear friend.  Her life touched me deeply.  I'll always miss her.  My prayers to you, Dave, she was and is much loved.

Oh goodness, I have put off opening this post, because I knew the tears from missing my dear friend would come...and I'm not wrong. Our dear sweet Lyra always knew just what to say to us. She had an inner "knowing", it seemed, to know just what we all needed when she replied to us and wrote her wonderful poems to share with us.

I know that you miss her terribly, Dave. Just know that all of her many Family Of Friends here are also your "family", too. We are here whenever you want or need to write, reply, or just read. We loved her and we love you, too.

Thank you, Brian, for posting this.

Heart hugs to you all
Ethel

Brian, I got a note from David two days ago, and he is going through the various stages of grief and has hit the serious grief part.  He could sure use more notes from people to get through this.  He never left her side for a second, not one second, and although he knows he must move on I think he is very stuck in his grief right now.

I miss her too, so I write to David and exchange little anecdotes with him of our "nutty squirrel", as she truly did have a sense of humor right to the end.

This was so kind of you to remember her as I too think of her and her strength so often and it is always a source of strength for me.

I miss her too.

I miss her too. We used to e-mail each other a lot. She kept my hopes up when I was down. She will always be missed by me.
