Poet, I feast at your table
Through an open invitation
And dine on superb creations
Gifts of your imagination

Each course seems specifically
Designed with my tastes in mind
All offerings anticipated
For the treat I'm sure to find

With delicate appetizers
I now learn The Reason For Flowers
Sad mourning lingers in Shadow
These treasures I'd consume for hours

Nibbling a tasty Trilobite
I'm so involved with Cat Petting
Relishing Waiting At The Bridge
For a moment, I'm forgetting

A savory salad array
My enjoyment's barely begun
With every word read I'm happy
As a dreaming Dog In The Sun

On to entrees of compassion
Such as Inkydot, The Towers Down
Then Peaches and I'd Carry You
Please pass second helpings around!

Content, I think it has gotten
As good as it ever can get
Then hear the strains of a Wordsong
The harmony of Amulet

No Emergency to this meal -
The love of Waiting While She Shops
Is garnished by Office Romance
I hope this banquet never stops!

Dessert is devoured in silence
For the heat of flickering fire
Can't match all the warmth provided
By Drinking You and Cloud's Desire

I gorge but never get my fill
No matter how well I am fed...
