Sandy City Police Sgt. Michelle Burnette said two people called police with a tip that led them to a certain address.

"Two separate women called in and said they thought they had spotted `Emmanuel,"' she said. Emmanuel's real name is Brian David Mitchell. He is a drifter who had once done work on the Smarts' home.

tell me..why in this report was it important to give the square footage of the parents home? Makes one wonder....

Isn't it obvious, Ron? For over two months, the police were convinced she was just lost somewhere in the house.

Joking aside, it's good that she's safe.

I hadn't thought of that Ron... but it is logical.

Ms Devine.... if this is a sandwich... then Ron C. gets the mayo spread on him... I don't trust anyone with a knife..

For a second there I thought the Ron sandwich was going to have a dagwood tagged at the end...

Almost a year gone...thank God she was found. Now if the tabloids will stay away for awhile...but that's asking too much, isn't it?

shocking, to say the least.

however, if their house is 6,600 sq ft then why are the two girls sharing a bedroom?

what do they do with all of that space?

Truly a miracle of prayer that this child was found alive. Her parents must be beside themselves with joy.

How often does this story end well? By modern day crime standards it's a miracle. In it's wake what will become of those accused of wrongdoing? And wasn't some guy placed in a position which resulted in his death over this?

Yes. A man was under suspicion for the kidnapping but was put in jail because he stole something from the Smart home while he was doing some work there. He died in jail of a blood clot or something.

I am so happy for her and her family. This was wonderful news. I just pray that every missing child would be reunited with their family.
