I didn't know where else to post this, so I'm putting it here.

I don't know how many of you know, but I have a bad lung condition. I have COPD (chronic bronchitis, asthma), and I have some asbestosis.
Since around Christmas I have been sick off and on. I just about get over this cold and stuff and then it starts all over again. I've tried to do all I'm supposed to do...medication, nebulizer, antibiotics when I'm fevered, and staying in out of the weather. But, it still feels like it may turn into pneumonia if it doesn't get better.

I'm telling ya'll all of this because I know that there are a lot of praying people in my Passions family and I would really appreciate all of your prayers for my lungs to get better. I know that God can do beyond what doctors and medicine can do.

I thank all of you. May God bless each of you.
Love and hugs,
Ethel

My lovely aunt suffers from your condition, Ethel.  First, stress is a positive in making your condition worse.  So...whatever you can do to relieve stress is a GOOD thing.  Next, it sounds like you're doing everything you should be doing for your condition.  Last...

Ethel,
I'll be your prayer warrior. Peace and health to you dear friend.

Ethel,

Yes, it sounds like you are doing all you should. Have you considered the changes in air you are breathing now, in these cold months of winter, might be causing these problems. For instance, the heat source of the home you are living in, with additional dust blown from ducts, fireplace fumes of burned wood, kind of fuel from furnace, etc., etc..... in Florida, perhaps, you've not needed additional heat, however, seems you mentioned how very cold it became there. Cranking up the old furnace, and unused duct -work might be spewing out who knows what??? Just keeping windows and doors closed to keep out cold, might be keeping in an irritant.  Addionally, have you considered fibers from extra blankets/sweaters/afghans, etc.?
A new animal of some kind? Their dander can play havoc among those with allergies, maybe has same effect on you?

I don't mean to be consenscending.

You most likely have considered all the above.

You know how I feel about prayer.
I also believe, be it His will, those who are ~truly~ Christian, can do hands on healing of themselves in the name of Jesus, the best Physician and healer in the universe.

I pray for your relief as I write this. I do believe in miracles, be it His will.

Hugs and love, Pat

Oh goodness, do you people know just how wonderful you all are? I knew that you all wouldn't fail me, and would be right there in prayer for me. Words could never express how very, very much I appreciate each and every one of you. I am so happy that I found this great big family of friends on PIP.
I love each of you and am very grateful for your continued prayers. Thank you all so much.
Heart hugs to each of you,
Ethel

Ethel, please know my thoughts, best wishes and prayers are always with you.  As I'm sure you're aware, I lost half a lung last year and my breathing isn't what it used to be, so I do most sincerely mean it when I say you're in my prayers.  God certainly is the greatest of healers and proved that in my own life.  I have faith that He'll do so in your own, my friend.   God bless and take care.  Hugsss

Ethel, I will most definitely pray for you. One of my dearest friends lives with COPD and I'm sure she would be more than happy to be in touch with you if you are interested in a 'buddy.' Send me an email if you are interested.

Keep up the faith and know there are a lot of us praying for you.

Hugs, Marti
