PETITION

In a referendum to local, state and federal governments, we as citizens of the United States see fit to petition for the rights of those who serve in the defense of our country to be treated as adults in all aspects of the law, in every jurisdiction of our free democracy.

By signing this we are not condoning war but reaffirming our rights to send men and women to protect us, instead of boys and girls. For if they die in the service of our country, let them have the responsibility of being adult enough to have all the rights accorded the law.

We also reaffirm the rights of our service personnel to enter all leases, contracts, and legal documents with out any biases, that any prior stipulations excluding our service personnel be null and void. Once upon entering a legally binding contract they will be subject to that contract, unless it has been disallowed by legal means.

Since at eighteen we have the legal rights to vote, anyone eighteen or older will be allowed to petition our government.

In a free America, the rights of our citizens must be upheld. If we have to defend those rights, our men and women will serve their responsibility as adults.

I request your help, for it is not about my views but yours. So please turn this into your local City Council, so it can be send to the state and then to Federal Senators and Representatives. So individuality can be felt in the power of public opinion. So that dreamers in America can affect national policy.

I did spell check it but I found many errors in the words I used and the way I presented it. I made more than my share of mistakes. The idea is a good one but who am I to make things happen.
