Listening to every heart

Please, give a silent moment to the lives,
and the loves left behind,
of those lost on
The Space Shuttle, Columbia...

It is indeed heart breaking. Five men and two women have given their lives in an effort to better our world. My prayers go out for their families.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I am still in shock, and tears. I watched  shuttle lauchings while living in Florida years ago. I will never forget the Challenger launching.

I ponder the coincidences of time:
The Apollo tragedy was Jan 27, 1967.
The Challenger tragedy was Jan 28, 1986.
Now the Columbia. Feb 1, 2003.

I just saw it when the news interfered the service held to remember the 1835 death of the Flood disaster in 1953.

It was shocking to see.

My thoughts are with all the families concerned.

At first stunned silence...

...now, prayers for the families of the seven astronauts lost, and comfort to the entire NASA team.

I pray they quickly reached out and touched the face of God.

I live in California and this morning when I walked outside there was a white streak stretching across the sky.  It took a minute before I realized what I was seeing.  I then turned and walked inside and lit a candle and said my prayers.

It is a sad day indeed.
God Bless them dear Lord.

It was a tragic thing to wake up to.. let us pray for all of the families, especially those of the Israeli man, who are far from home and have just lost their loved one.

It happened around where I am at.. my friend heard the sonic boom and it rattled the windows in his house. I went out to see if I could see anything but it was too late. Very sad over here in Fort Worth.

My prayers will be without words tonight, but know that I will pray.
I don't seem to have any words that will "do" anymore. May we all find comfort--even as we grieve.

So much tragedy and sorrow in our nation and our world.
My prayers reach out to the families and friends
of those courageous pioneers who lost their lives in yesterday's disaster.

May God have mercy on them all.
