It's been a few months since I was able to tabulate votes and comments at the main site and, of course, they built up on me a bit.

If you have poems published at the main site, you might want to stop by and see what people have been saying. There's about 8,000 more comments now.

I'll bet you didn't expect anyone to tell you that this made them cry, but the puppy comments from the main site got me going.  Wonderful tears of remembrance and sharing ... thank you for making my night Ron, truly.

Main site? Where is the main site located, and how do you publish a poem upon there? I've only been familiar with the Forums for two years, can someone tell me about all of this?

Love,

Noah - You'll see at the top of your screen - on the left edge of the blue title bar on any thread - it says Passions in Poetry.

That's actually a link.  Almost anywhere else you happen to see the words Passions in Poetry will probably get you to the main site as well... Have fun...

Hi Ron,

Just thought I'd mention that I still have several poems that I submitted for the Main Site, going back about 2 years that still have not made it there, including one for 9/11. Are they all still pending? Thanks.

Ron, I know that the ones who have poems there are excited to see the replies given to them.
I can just imagine how much work all of this is for you.
Even though I don't have any poems submitted there now, I was wondering when do you think you can possibly let other poems be submitted?

BTW, I read poems from your main site way before I got involved with the forums. I was looking for poetry and came across your sight. I've made e-cards from here for long time.

THANK  YOU, so much, Ron, for all your work and time that you put into running this wonderful home of ours.....(see, I call it mine,  too.)

The answers to Denise's question and Ethel's question are "soon" and "immediately following soon."

For those who don't know, I let myself get almost as far behind on poetry submissions as I did on comments this time. Fortunately, the comments are easy. I read through each of the 8,000 our visitors have submitted to make sure all full names or other "too personal" references are removed, deleting the inevitable profanity when I see it, but otherwise leaving the comments unedited. Poetry, on the other hand, is much more closely checked for spelling, homonym swaps, adequate descriptions, that sort of thing. I also usually have to write the one sentence teaser for each submission that is accepted. It takes a lot of time and once I fall behind, it's hard to catch up again. I still have about 1,200 poems to prepare for publication.

Once those are all finished, there will be a Major update at the main site. Including, of course, those submitted by Denise. At the same time my backlog is finally exhausted, submissions will again be enabled.

And the cycle will start all over again.

Phew!!
Ron, that sure sounds like a  whole  lot  of work to me. Good luck, friend.

I personally don't know how you do it all. Don't you ever get really frustrated? BTW, I was wondering if you ever thought your website was going to be such a huge success as it is?

Just an insert...Ethel, I'm not sure if Ron imagined his "Field of Dreams" would be so successful...and for the rest of us, such a home!  But I am grateful for his vision, and his ongoing research into making this a place for every one, and for everyone, a place...

I just know the peace, love, and joy to me has been a boon, not to mention the productivity of thought processes that this site has given, and generated, in me.

Ethel, when you have time, do drop in to the Deputy Moderators sign up area...that is where appreciative people can give "something back" to Ron, and Passions.

Hugs...
